I had an appointment scheduled for the day of a nor'easter blizzard. The office confirmed my appointment the day prior, so I assumed they were planning on staying open. The morning of, I had not heard anything from the office, so I called LensCrafters approximately 7 times to confirm that the appointment was still happening and left 3 voicemails with no response. When I arrived, the doors were locked, with no signage indicating a weather closure. I fully respect their decision to close given the weather, but it's absolutely unacceptable in 2026 to not have a way to remotely notify patients of appointment cancellations. Because of this experience, I no longer trust this location as a vision care provider and would not recommend it to others.

I came to Boston for the weekend and realized I left my contact lenses in NYC. This LensCrafters was amazing. Gabby answered the phone and was so helpful with locating contact lenses for me and then when I came to the store, Shirley was so professional and lovely. Both of these women are rockstars for me!!!! I am SO GRATEFUL to LensCrafters for my emergency contact lenses.

I went to the Lendcrafters in Beacon Street in Brookline to get my glasses tightened. I purchased from a different branch. The customer service here is outstanding. Erinaldo made sure my glasses were adjusted perfectly before I left. Thank you!!

I stopped in at this location for a refiguring of my frames after a solid fall. Shirley fixed my frames with a heat wand in no time. The customer service at this location is excellent.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
