The classes weren’t particularly hard or intense, but progression to the next level required approval from the instructor. While that structure can help ensure students are ready before moving forward, the overall experience felt pretty average. Most of the classes followed a very routine format and didn’t offer much excitement or variety. As a result, the sessions often felt normal to the point of being a bit boring, and they lacked the energy or engagement that might make the learning experience more memorable.

Unfortunately, this just wasn’t a positive experience. I’ve been a member at various club Pilates studios since 2019, starting at Portsmouth NH, then Fayetteville, NC, then Miller Place, NY, and finally here in Brookline (military, so I moved a lot). I also worked front desk in Portsmouth, NH for about a year. This is the first club whose policies didn’t align with any of the other clubs I’ve been to. You cannot switch to another class same day even if it’s open unless it’s the same instructor, which isn’t helpful because they usually have 1 or 2 other classes around the same time that are different categories of class. I don’t want to switch to a reformer 1 or suspend class, I want the other reformer 1.5 that’s today that freed up. “Can’t do it, has to be with the same teacher.” Except the way club Pilates works is you gotta book early to avoid waitlists. You keep an eye on waitlists and when they move, switching into classes you want that work better with your schedule as it gets closer. They really should change that policy at this studio, it’s so inflexible. The thing that did it for me though was one week I was sick, like really sick, right before Christmas. I would be pissed if a sick person sat next to me on a reformer and got me ill before the holidays. It was my last week of the cycle, and I have the 8 pack, so I do 2 classes a week. I asked if I could extend out my final 2 credits (I did it many times for members) as I didn’t want to come in and get anyone ill. No they said, can’t do it. For $200+ a month, really not worth the rigidity of this studio. As I said, other studios I’ve been to were not like this at all, so maybe try other club Pilates studios in the area before coming here. Classes also were just not challenging enough- Kiara’s were but otherwise it just wasn’t worth the money to be in such a strict contract and not getting a great workout. Morgan at the front desk was very kind. Otherwise, spend your money elsewhere that values their members a bit more.

We had such a wonderful experience partnering with Club Pilates Brookline for their one-year anniversary celebration! The team was incredibly welcoming and organized, and it was such a joy to provide posture screenings for their amazing community. The energy in the studio was fantastic, and it’s clear that members here are truly supported on their fitness and wellness journeys. Congratulations to the Club Pilates Brookline team on this exciting milestone—we look forward to many more opportunities to collaborate in the future!
