Not only are the contacts more expensive, but they take almost no insurance options for the eye exam. So get ready to pay about $185 for a prescription and over $300 for a year supply of bi-weekly contacts (in my case). When the doctor asked if I look at a computer a lot during the day, I said yes. She tacked on another option to my contacts without telling me how much more it was. I had to ask her and she said “oh, only $50 more it’s nothing.” I find it a bit ridiculous that I don’t have a say on what I want, and wasn’t shown any pricing options. I’d recommend going to Costco instead. Much cheaper for both contacts and prescription renewal.
