I was high risk with both pregnancies when I had my boys and had an eclampsia back in 2014 j 2016. After God the Doctors at Tuft are reason why I am still alive,Specially Dr House.
You guys were and will always be the best of the Best.
Thank you

The maternal fetal medicine dept and my OB were great. My L&D nurses were great, doctor that was there when I delivered was terrible and used scissors instead of clamps for the umbilical cord so they cut the cord so short which caused issues with our son and he had to be looked at by the pediatrics team and they completely didn’t even say anything even though my husband was right there and then since they did that, he could not cut the cord.
My main issue is with mother infant unit. I had my son in December 2021 and I was on medication during my pregnancy so they kept my son for a few days to observe. During that time, if he cried they blamed me being on medication, he wasn’t latching, they blamed me. They blamed me for everything. One of the nurses was so rude like rudest woman and was always being so jusgemental and treated my husband horrible as well. I actually had to complain about some of the nurses. L&D nurses were the best, MIU nurses not so much. 2 years later, I just found out he has a tongue tie which is why he never latched great when he was born. Instead of blaming me for EVERYTHING, they should have checked to see if there were reasons why he wasn’t latching. They never even bothered to look at any causes. My son now has a speech delay and after advocating for him, we had to get his tongue released now instead of when he was a newborn which is pretty awful. He’s 2 and hates when we have to do tongue exercises and had the worst time having it done and has had multiple dentist appointments when this could have all been avoided when he was born if they just did their job instead of putting the blame on me for everything. I also blame the lactation consultant because she never even bothered to look either.
I loved tufts and a lot of my doctors were at tufts but I would never recommend having a baby there

I wish I could give them 10 Stars, the staff here is absolutely amazing. We had a high risk pregnancy and when we were at our most stressed they were truly angels. Can't say enough good things about MFM, and especially our favorite ultrasound tech, Simone.
Results ready wait for a signature... nooo tests results more blood tests no results still waiting not cool. Not cool to let results that are vital to a decision stay on someone’s desk for signature..

Today I saw Dr. Petterson at MFM Tufts. I work with doctors professionally on a daily basis and have encountered many throughout my previous medical issues, but I have never met as compassionate a doctor as Dr. Ashley Petterson. She has an excellent bedside manner and truly cares to find a solution to her patients problems. This doctor far exceeded my expectations and went well above the call of duty. I also had the opportunity to meet her medical director, Dr. Craigo, and feel she is equally as compassionate. Overall, I could not be more pleased with the treatment I received while at Tufts MFM!
