I had a wonderful experience from my eye exam to selecting my frames and final fitting of my glasses @ pick up. Great store @ Charles River Center in Bellingham, MA. Best customer service I’ve experienced in a long time.

Extremely poor customer service at LensCrafters (City Eye location: 249 Hartford Ave Space A170, Bellingham, MA 02019). On 3/10/26, I waited over 2 hours for assistance. The optician could not complete my order because he had questions about my prescription, so I had to leave and planned to return. When I came back on 3/14/26, I waited over 4 hours just to have measurements taken for my glasses. When I asked about the delay, the manager, Janae, responded rudely and said that if I couldn’t wait, I could leave. There was no apology and no effort to help or reschedule. After two visits and several hours of waiting, I felt my time and business were not valued. I will be taking my business elsewhere and cannot recommend this location. I hope corporate management reviews the service at this location and addresses these customer service issues.

I found my way to the this LensCrafters after a not-so-great apptmt at a different LC location. David and Rhonda helped me resolve things with ease, and a little humor! My glasses were ready much earlier than expected, however I quickly discovered an issue with one of the lenses. Over the course of the next week I met nearly every member of the staff at this store as we worked to resolve this. I worried they thought I was nuts, as this flaw continued to surface in each new pair of lenses over and over. And yet this team continued to treat me with patience and kindness. David ultimately figured out the root cause of the problem, and once he did, have it resolved and my glasses ready for me same day. On my way out, Rhonda asked about our Thanksgiving plans and wished us a happy holiday. Despite what could have been a frustrating experience on both sides, this team never wavered. Their service level, professionalism, and dedication to figuring things out for me (quickly) was outstanding. Highly recommend!

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
