If I could give this place less than one star I would! This was by far one of the worst hospitals I’ve ever had the pleasure of going to. We came from out of town to enjoy the Savannah Banana game and decided to have some drinks down on burbon. My husband was drugged with fentanyl and was found in the streets not breathing. He was first brought to Tulane hospital and they were AMAZING. They not only took care of him by me as well. I had got hit by a car and pretty sure my wrist was broken, on top of being as sick as a dog from drinking earlier in the day, but they took their time and made sure I was alright! They Brought me juice, crackers and everything. The nurses truly took care of my husband, charged his phone, made sure he kept breathing, anytime the machine went off they came running. once we were transferred to this sorry excuse for a hospital we were treated like dogs. My husband was labeled a junkie and the nurses literally watched me puke for hours and never once even checked on us. My husband was transferred to this hospital at 9:30am, at 4:30pm we still had not seen any doctor. I asked multiple times what was happening with my husband and all we were told was an “er doc” would eventually see is and that they were going to try to admit us. I fully understand the stress and level of overdoses a hospital can have especially in this area, but that should NEVER impact the way you treat your patients. I almost lost my husband and this hospital made us feel like he was nothing but a junkie and couldn’t waste their time with us. And to make this experience worse, on top of horrible service the hospital itself is in very poor/dirty condition... There was literal blood stains on the wall and old medical supplies all over the floor before we arrived to the room. Such a sad and horrible experience. I wish the staff here could experience their quality of service and tell me if they would accept this for their loved ones… please do better..

I was literally treated like a dog!!! In order to wake me up one of the nurses sprayed me in the face with water, I guess we're a water bottle, I guess, I should never complain about being treated like just a number, what caused this emergency room treat you like a dog!!!! I told them that I was cold I was actually shivering shaking because I was so cold and they never did bring me another blanket, although my blood pressure was 173 over 110 they never treated my high blood pressure. They literally did absolutely nothing for me. It sounded more like a party on Bourbon Street then an actual emergency room, they were very loud not talking about anything to do with patients business they were just loud and visiting with each other having a grand old time while at work, it was like they were having a party out there and not like they were solving any patient's problems.

The new person came in introduced himself and informed us we will not get admitted until 8/8:30 what a day since they charge an arm leg kidney for this healthcare I wish they would have a heart when working with sick and elderly smh
On 5/14/2025 in the afternoon I was discriminated against based on my sexuality/ gender identity by a thin, white brunette lady who was just hanging out in intake.
She tried to tell me I wasn’t sick enough to be in the er, then drilled me for why I’m on my medications. Then told me that the medication I’ve been prescribed and taking for 4 years is probably the problem.
I wish I got the lady’s name. People like this should not be in healthcare at all.
The other members of the staff were nice to me and when I complained about this lady to them they made sure I didn’t see her again.
I did get my referral to a specialist though.

The intake nurse is vile. She literally shamed me for being forced to bring my toddler with me during an emergency (something I am consistently conscientious to never do unless it's an emergency - and it was), was incredibly rude and had no bedside manor. I was then treated by a very nice P.A. who had no idea what she was talking about, completely misdiagnosed, etc. The only consistently wonderful people are the triage nurses.. they are more experienced and more knowledgeable than the PA's and NP's on staff.. Touro used to be wonderful. Its awful now.
