  I was so excited to go here after reading great reviews, having pleasant calls every time I called, and seeing a staff of black women. I have been looking for a dentist for a while and, with no insurance, I’m no stranger to being scammed for profit. So, before choosing one, I researched (not enough apparently) about 7 dental offices and selected this one based on affordability, friendliness of phone calls, and what I thought was transparency of cost. For the sheer fact that this is a predominantly black office, I give one star. I really don’t want to talk about my people but it is necessary in this moment. And know I mean well. I was told more than once I’d have to pay $205 for an exam, x-rays, and a cleaning. I was *not* told that this cost was only if I didn’t need a “specialty cleaning.” The specialty cleaning was an additional $262 on top of the cost I was quoted and if I didn’t pay for that, I just don’t get a cleaning at all. But they would still charge the full $205 because now all of a sudden a cleaning is free and not included in the price?? None of this was told to me when I explicitly asked for fees. The exam was a few minutes of the doctor trying to convince me I need braces again when I went in for a potential cavity and gum sensitivity. I was told I had some smaller cavities forming but no guidance on how to deal with them. They told me to floss more and that was it. I came right home to look up on the internet what to do for small cavities. I’m so disappointed by how inaccessible healthcare is in this city, especially dental, for folks with no insurance. I haven’t been to a dentist in years and I was very excited to finally get answers and find a dentist that didn’t break the bank while still considering me as an individual. I figured since I called a few times and was told the same price by sweet voices that I was being told the honest cost. I flag this place because these types of scams and lack of transparencies are hard to navigate and people without insurance are always being the treated like the stepchild. But now I’m down money I could have used elsewhere on a more well-rounded exam and I still have to seek out care and start this process all over again. It’s saddening and I feel let down by how careless this transaction has been. I do hope my post helps someone. Please understand what and who you’re giving your money to. 🙏🏾

  Staff was very friendly, caring and knowledgeable. The doctor was very informative and made you feel very comfortable and knowing what’s going on with you personally what’s next in terms you.

  I broke my tooth damn near a year ago , I’ve been to multiple dentist. Every dentist I previously went to claimed they couldn’t get the tooth out. That all change at Louisiana Dental Center . Thank you so much
