  This place is not what it used to be when it was actually Lakeside Hospital.Honestly, there should be a zero stars available that I could give. I recently had surgery there and it's not the nurses or doctors that are rude, it's the staff. The people who are supposed to acknowledge and help you when you walk up and don't. The security guards who cause problems instead of trying to help. The Security was the worst part of my experience here. They refused to let my husband come back to my room, after I just had major surgery. Even after, he showed his visitors badge and was carrying my hospital bag with my belongs. The head nurse had to get involved and the whole thing took around 30 minutes or so to get resolved, as I was distraught and hurting. It was by far the worst experience at a hospital I have had. I normally go to Ochsner but the Doctor I have been seeing for 25 years has been with Lakeside, which is now LCMC. I would not recommend LCMC to anyone, as I have not had any good experiences with them. If this helps one person not experience the same, it was worth posting.

  From the moment you walk in at registration to the scans in Radiology dept everyone is so compassionate! shoutout to Sharon in nuclear, always makes me feel comfortable and same as the ct tech too

  The best hospital to go to.. they get to the problem and they get you to the right doctors.. I would recommend them to my family and friend totally

  After reading several negative reviews especially Ms Tias' I changed my mind of seeing a doctor that practices at this facility. I am sure there are good staff and doctors but the last thing I or any ill patient wants is more stress when feeling ill. Sharon Diamondhead

  March 6 was a very difficult day for me. It marked six days after I fractured my ankle in several places. As a healthcare provider accustomed to taking care of others, I found myself very overwhelmed to the point of tears as I was walking into Tulane Lakeside for a CT scan of the injured area, not knowing how this injury would impact me long-term, or the patients who rely on me every day. I was met with a very friendly lady who assisted me with check-in at the kiosk. As I proceeded to the area for the scan, A kind non-medical staff person noticed my tears, stopped what she was doing, and walked alongside me offering much reassurance. The atmosphere is very warm and it’s so different from the oversized organizations that I’ve been accustomed to going into over the years. I haven’t made my decision yet, but based on upcoming experiences over the course of several weeks, I may be switching to this facility for other medical needs particularly primary care. From one healthcare provider to others thank you for not just treating me as a number, but as an individual whose tears were noticed and not ignored. You all deserve more than just five stars because you all are stars!
