I had labs drawn. The process from start to finish was about 20 minutes...this includes registration, a few minutes waiting to be called and the blood draw itself. The results were reported in about 3 hours. Great experience.
I have to say the recovery area was very understaffed and I woke up and no one was there with me. I started to wake up after my procedure and no one came . I was laying there for a little bit before someone came to check on me. Very disappointed in EJ.

This facility is full of professionals willing to help and provide the best care to patients. Appointments are scheduled prontly having a department ready to make it happen ASP and considering patient covenience. I would recommend this hospital to any one looking for great care in LA.

My recent experience as a patient ay East Jefferson Hospital, Metairie, Louisiana, was absolutely perfect, all things considered.
The doctors, nurses, techs, and most of the staff were very knowledgeable, caring, friendly, and genuinely interested in my hospital stay. Additionally, my hospital room, and the entire area and environment, was top-notch and clean. On that note, I want especially to thank the young lady who would daily come into my hospital room and very carefully and thoughtfully mop the floor, change the garbage container bags, and disinfect and clean the bathroom. I wish I could remember her name; however, I’m certain she knows well the kind of care and professionalism she elicits as she does her daily work
In summary, I was deeply impressed with East Jefferson Hospital. While I hope and pray that I won’t need another hospital st anytime soon, if it should occur, East Jefferson Hospital will be my absolute number one choice.

ICU team, Michael and head nurses, Kevin, Jaimie Kim were great. Uplifting. Informative. Bedside manners for some staff appalling. I am spending thousands to be here in professional care and basic things needed like water, (after ICU), was1 item, and had to wait hours. Basically, I am a human with a life threatening situation asking for help. There were exceptional people, and people who are just there with no empathy.
