    I recently visited Grand Family Dentistry in Mandeville for pain in a crown after going out of my way to come here based on recommendations, and my experience was mixed. First, I want to highlight that the hygienist was absolutely wonderful! She was kind, attentive, and professional. She made me feel comfortable and truly listened. However, my experience with the dentist was frustrating. After explaining that I was having pain in a specific crown, I was told nothing appeared visibly wrong. The dentist then used a metal instrument to tap forcefully on the tooth and another for comparison. Since that visit, my pain has significantly worsened. Additionally, the dentist identified a separate issue on another tooth and recommended addressing that first, despite the fact that I came in specifically for pain in my crown. While a root canal was mentioned as a possible option for the painful tooth, I did not feel confident in that recommendation given the lack of a clear diagnosis and the increase in pain after the exam. I left without a clear plan for the tooth that is actually causing me pain, and now with increased discomfort and uncertainty about how to proceed. It’s frustrating to feel like your concerns weren’t fully investigated, especially when the outcome leaves you worse off. I truly appreciated the hygienist, but I do not feel confident returning for further care given this experience.
