At Haydel Memorial Hospice our mission is to provide end of life care to patients and support to families in the Bayou Region of Southeast Louisiana. We are locally owned and operated providing a holistic approach to hospice care which focuses on the patient and the immediate family’s spiritual and psychosocial needs and beliefs. Our goal is to provide the highest standard of care giving our patients dignity, quality and comfort in their final stages of life.

- JRJody RoseNov 7, 20255.0I wrote a review for Haydel Memorial Hospice about my son’s stay in hospice and I was so pleased with them that when the time came for my mother to be admitted to hospice we knew it had to be Haydel Memorial Hospice. My son passed in 2009 and my mother was admitted in 2020 and most of the nurses were still there. The social worker Keith Weishit, Brother Bob, Shari the office manager. Eva Fitch CNA and the nurses, our guardian angels. My mother was in the best of hands and the team led us thru the good and the bad times with the guidance needed. Both experiences with this agency left me with a desire to help families with the trials ahead of them. After my mothers passing in 2022, I came out of retirement and became a part of this wonderful caring team. I could not think of a more fulfilling job and new journey to embark on with such wonderful caring people. So now when I admit or do visits, these patients and their families become part of our family. Thank You Haydel Memorial Hospice for giving me a new direction with my nursing career and showing the true meaning of caring and loving.

- JBJanae BosseApr 27, 20255.0We are very pleased with Haydel Memorial Hospice. The staff are very pleasant and very personable. They are very attentive to all patients needs in a timely matter. The Nurses explain everything to the family and answer any or all concerns. Calls to office are answered and if a problem was to arise they arrive to residents home as quick as they can. We couldn't ask for a better Hospice to take care of our loved ones. Greatly appreciated from the bottom of our hearts.

The last straw was when they decided they would only come out to bathe mom once a week on the same day she was already getting showered. Why would a company whose goal is to make a person’s last days comfortable by aiding them with the necessary activities of daily living choose to take it away???? 🥺
