If I could give negative stars I would… I had an appointment today at 5 pm. My 2 month old is sick and I was running 15 minutes late, he was inconsolably crying as I tried to put him in his car seat.. I called the south gate office, (which is not our home office we usually go to cold spring), to let them know I was running 15 minutes late. I walked into the office at 5:16 and the receptionist said we would have to reschedule our appointment. I said there’s no way I can still see the doctor it’s one minute later than the grace period. She was incredibly rude and said their office was closed. I asked to speak to someone else, she claimed no one was there. This practice turned away my sick 2 month old sick baby because I was 1 MINUTE LATE. I was shown 0 empathy, 0 lenience and this is a CHILDREN’S doctor. You would expect them to show the slightest bit of understanding or compassion for an innocent baby.
I will be changing pediatricians and no longer using Children’s. This experience was unacceptable. I called her supervisor, Diane, and all she said was the cut off is 5:15 and she will further investigate the situation TOMORROW. I felt as I was being judged and treated poorly because I am a young mother.
We absolutely love this practice - have been with them for over 10 years now and our children have received outstanding care. The docs are always responsive and helpful whenever we have had questions.

Rachel is the only good staff member there. I've had terrible experiences with rude doctors and nurses who dismiss my problems or skip around the issue and order unnecessary and unhelpful tests

Beyond done with this practice. I removed my youngest months ago since they were not capable of treating a child with ADHD, and now after 10 years of treating my oldest he was called to Saturday class for school after their hours of operation so I could not call them within 24 hours and cancel the appointment I had scheduled. I called first thing in the morning to reschedule and now am receiving a bill for a no call. They are not understanding of any situations. All of their Dr's do not seem like the know anything other than basic illness treatments. The only Dr they had there that was any good, moved to another state a few years ago.
