Sunday I went in with fever, sore throat, body aches, chills, & headache. They tested me for flu and Covid, Donahue came in looked at my throat and said “you throat does look redder than most patients I’ve seen today,” but still didn’t test me for strep. Told me it was a viral infection and nothing she could do. Monday I go in, say to the front desk I came yesterday and I think I have strep so I’d like to get tester for strep, she laughed at me like I was stupid, then proceeded to be disrespectful (if you don’t like your job get a new one???) the only reason this has three stars is because of nurse Lisa & Lauren Lounden. They both said my throat was red and tested me for strep which is what I should’ve been tested for the first time I came to the freaking place. Because the first person didn’t do her job I am now out sick for half the week which could’ve been solved if the first person did the FREAKING JOB!

Beginning with the rude front desk person right on through to her protector. Front desk person insists we wear masks. My husband is deaf. He cannot “hear” if he cannot see my mouth. Insists we wear them anyway. Attached is a photograph of her. Without a mask. Her protector insists she doesn’t need to wear a mask. Protector follows the information taker and makes it clear I am rude and not being kind, etc. I think they were rude and not being kind AT ALL. All I want is to be treated but delay, delay, and criticism were what I got. Also attached is a photograph of another individual in the back office. I include it because in the discussion of my husband not being able to enter with me without a mask, I was told that office people were not required to mask up. The woman “protector” was wearing a mask at that point. The information taker was masked up. We were told that it was the people in the lobby who were sick and could make us sick. This was about the time I signaled I wanted to move the process along and was told again that I was being rude. Level 9-10 pain, and their delay is not helping. At all. And the magic question? “What do you want us to do for you?” How about figure out the pain and stop it? No? Not surprised. Your business thinks I am rude and unkind? I think your business is rude, unkind, and uncaring. This is my second visit to immediate care with Norton Shepherdsville in 16 years of living in Shep and it is also my last. The first time the individual raised their voice to me and demanded to know why I didn’t go to the ER the night before. You see, I burnt my foot quite badly because it is paralyzed and I couldn’t feel anything. Could. Not. Feel. Anything. Why I came back again is just about unfathomable and a mistake I will not repeat. This one as outlined above. And “immediate,” by the way, is something of a misnomer. But then so is the one star that should have been zero.
