What is Home Health?
Green River District Home Health uses a team approach involving the patient, family, physician, as Skilled Nursing Services, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. Home Health Aides provide activities of daily living services when needed and approved. Home visits will be provided as ordered by the physician. When Home Health is appropriate, it can be a better and more cost-effective alternative to homebound patients than hospitalization or a long-term care facility. Home Health allows people to stay in their homes, preserving their independence and dignity, and enhancing their quality of life by allowing intermittent care in an environment that the patient is more comfortable in.
