My cardiologist scheduled an appointment for me with Norton Heart Specialists Heart Rhythm Center on the day I was to leave for vacation. I called HRC to find out if it was urgent for me to keep the appointment and cancel my vacation. Nobody called me back or send me an email in MyChart. An auto attendant called me to verify my appoint. I keyed in "1" for "keep appointment" three time and the auto attendant would not accept my entry. The recording kept looping. I called HRC multiple times and nobody would pick up the phone. The Friday before my Monday appointment the scheduler canceled my appointment and gave it to someone else and rescheduled it for the end of the month. I had canceled my vacation, but could have kept it if I would have known the scheduler would have done this. This shows a lack of concern and detail on the part of this scheduler and poor oversite of this employee.

I was a patient of the Norton Healthcare Rhythm Center. I found them to be arrogant, and appeared to have very little concern for my satisfaction as a patient nor even my safety. My experience with their staff was very negative as some were not only incredibly condescending and rude, but I felt were also clinically, and ethically questionable. When I called their office feeling I was in an unsafe rhythm, they had me go in for an EKG. They took no vitals, even though I was short of breath with just walking. They had what appeared to be a tech do my EKG, who was not qualified to read the EKG. They then just discharged me to the street. Then no physician, nurse practitioner or even nurse called me with the result. It was only after I had called the “ON Call” cardiologist, late that evening that the Rhythm Center’s cardiologist, Morris, messaged me with my results. I went several hours with no feedback from the rhythm center, despite being in a potentially deadly rhythm. Following my cardioversion to a safe rhythm the next day, by the Associate Medical Director for the Rhythm Center, Dr. Kent Morris, he never spoke to I nor my wife afterward to discuss my history of present illness nor plan of care. Nor did I receive a simple phone call from “The Rhythm Center” to check on my condition in the following days. No physician, nurse practitioner, nor even a staff nurse. It honestly appeared to me that they did not care about my wellbeing as a patient, nor anything close to my satisfaction. Despite calling the office to try to speak with her, and her having my phone number, the manager of the Rhythm Center, never spoke with me. When I was finally told that she would call me, she had just a staff nurse do it instead. It did appear that my concerns as a patient, were not a very high priority for the nurse manger, the nurse practitioner, nor the cardiologist that took care of me. I am now the patient of another healthcare systems cardiology services and am very satisfied. The grass is greener elsewhere. I do not recommend this practice, its management, nurses, nor physicians.

I feel that the care for there patients are very low rated . They just get you in and rush u out . Don't listen to concerns at all. Just guess what they feel that it is and send u home with some medicine that you don't even need and then tell you it won't keep you alive but it could help some. Like I see why strokes and heart attacks are happening more now because heart doctors don't care .
