Everyone here was wonderful. This time We don't have to wait for a minute as soon as we checked in they called us, which was great. The staff were very kind and took excellent care of my baby. We received a diagnosis quickly, and both the doctors and nurses were so caring and professional. The place was also very clean, which made us feel even more comfortable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone with a sick child. We are very impressed!

I took my four year old son to the er because he had labored breathing and said it was hard to walk. It was his first time at the er and my first time taking a child and I accidentally went through the wrong door. The woman at the front desk was clearly irritated I was at the wrong door, refused to look me in the eyes, and said in an irritable tone "go around." I asked if I had to drive around or if there was a hallway for me to go through and she heavily sighed and ignored me, so I had to search on my own. Once we made it to the er, we were seen instantly which was nice and our first nurse was kind and helpful. After meeting the doctor, we were introduced to our new nurse. My son needed a one hour breathing treatment (we would find out at the allergist that he had asthma). The doctor suggested one more breathing treatment which we did and shortly after that, the nurse came in and started pulling on my son saying "let me be your new mommy, come home with me. Let me keep you and be your new mommy." She didn't say why she was doing that and the more she pulled, the more he grabbed on to me. He was visibly distraught and uncomfortable. Im kicking myself for not telling her to stop I assumed she had a reason for what she was doing but regardless of the reason, it was unprofessional, clearly unorthodox, and happened for longer than it should have. When she finally stopped, she said "he just doesnt like black people." This GUTTED me. He's a four year old boy and the sweetest boy I know. He's a SICK mommas boy thats never been to the er before. Insinuating he's racist because he didn't want to be pulled away from his mom by a stranger is absolutely diabolical. At this point, I was desperate to get out of this facilitys "care." I told management what happened and she looked at me, honestly looking scared, and said "im sorry but there's nothing I can do about that." My son had severe anxiety the whole ride home, telling me he didn't want to go to a doctor ever again because he doesnt want them to take him away from me. This was months ago but its been weighing heavily on my mind since. My son is still terrified of doctor visits, when we had him tested for asthma, we had to give him a two hour long pep talk because he's so traumatized. I took him here because I wanted him to be taken care of. I regret ever coming here at all. Edit: As expected, they replied with the generic copy-paste "email us" response everyone gets. Clearly the laziness and carelessness is in every department of Norton's "care." If no one did anything when I complained in person, day of, why would anything else happen? My review is solely to warn others of who is "caring" for their children at this establishment. If front desk staff are comfortably rude, and nurses are abusive to children, there is something wrong with Norton and their hiring process. They clearly do not hire based off merit and have no intention of holding themselves accountable when someone gets mistreated. & to think they wanted me to keep him overnight for monitoring and leave him alone with such cruel people. PLEASE stay away.

We have been here twice this year (unfortunately) for various respiratory viruses. Each time, Norton Brownsboro children’s ER has been quick, competent, and caring in their treatment of my child. If we have to take another trip to the ER, this is where I will bring my kids! Thankful for all the nurses and doctors at this location.

Took my 14 year old here for treatment Saturday and was most horrible and unprofessional experience ever. The Front End was extremely rude and looked at Us like we we're Alliens. The Nurse who administered the medicine was kind. Dr. appeared to be really uneducated and extremely unprofessional. Dr. Emily S. Becker comes in and right out of the gate is very rude and appears to be annoyed to even have to enter the room. She starts by saying "What is He doing here and even here for? He look's fine." I respond by telling Her that, " He has had a fever for 2 days, no appetite." She abruptly interupts me and says " When did He have a fever, He didn't have one here?" I respond "Yes, He does 101 and the Nurse, just gave Him medicine." She loudly and rudely responds "No, He don't and no one here has given Him anything." Wow, His 2 Sister's, My Mom, Him and Myself had just watched the Nurse around ten minutes prior give Him Ibuprofen and comment on how hot he was through His shirt when listening to His chest." Dr. Emily S. Becker quickly starts pushing at the Computer and says "Well, 100.1, that's not even a fever, so He looks good to me, what's the problem?" At this point, Dr. Emily S. Becker hasn't even examined My Son yet and why did the Nurse state it was 101 and give My Kid Ibuprofen then?" After, Her awful tone and demeanor , She proceeds to examine, My Son and go on and on about how He looks fine and has no fever, and upon asking Him questions, the rudeness continues and She starts acting as if She can't understand Him and starts "What did you say? Repeatedly" I tell Her, that He is very congested and His breathing is worse when laying down " She looks at me and says "Why is that because of His congestion?" Wow, just wow. I tell Her "I guess so." However, My thoughts were "Isn't that why We are here? Aren't you supposed to be the Dr?" She continues to be rude. She pretty much didn't even want to treat My Child and had no prior knowledge of His Chart or even what Medication had been administered to Him, why at their Facility. Very scary, right? She leaves the Room and My Son expresses how uncomfortable, He was with the treatment from Dr. Emily S. Becker and My Family, Him and Myself decided to leave. As, We come out of The Room, I look at The Station full of Nurses and I state "We are leaving because this is the rudest Facility, We have ever been to for treating Children." I was calm and My Family was calm and We proceed to exit. One of the Nurses starts going "Hut, Hut ....and laughing and making rude noises about what I said, about the rudest facility." I continue to leave and I tell "My Family Hut, Hut..... what's so funny about making a Child and Family feel like We we're made feel, for bring a Sick Child here for help?" We pass the Front Desk and Madison R who was so rude upon arrival is sitting there and hears My Family and Me talking amongst Ourselves about the unbelievable way We were just treated and We pass on out the Front Doors to exit and Oh there's their Security Guard on the walk watching Us and as a means of intimidation. Wow, Wow, Wow Norton Children's 👎 I proceed to "Tell Him, We see Him and have a good night!" Maybe He should monitor the Staff inside, they appeared to be on something, exspecially the hyped up Dr. Emily S. Becker who came in the room like A Prison Warden and appeared so far gone, She didn't even know what a fever was or that Her Nurse had administered medicine to a 14 year old Boy. Wow, can't make this stuff up 👎 Also, I had told Madison R. after I registered My Son, that My 18 year old Daughter was going to sit with Him, why I quickly ran My 71 year old Mom Home to get Her Cholesterol Medicine because She had Car trouble and needed help, so She had been late getting Home for it and She puts in notes, that I was leaving to take Mom to another Hospital and Sister was there.........these people are uneducated and on something bad here. Please, please spare Your Family, Children and Self and pass this location on by.....these people aren't fit to care for a Dog. Rethink this place 👎
