Dr. Gossman received a Doctor of Medicine Degree from the State University of New York, completed an internship in Surgery in Buffalo, New York and additional training in Neurosurgery at Case-Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. An Ophthalmology residency was completed at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation followed by a Fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine.
Dr. Gossman joined the University of Louisville in 1986 and established the first full-time Oculoplastic Surgery Service serving as its director. Thereafter he opened a private practice. As member of the clinical faculty of plastic surgery at the University of Louisville, Dr.Gossman maintains a research interest in facial reanimation.
The author of numerous articles and a lecturer on the subjects of Cosmetic and Reconstructive Oculoplastic Surgery, he is Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

They are an awesome team who took not one, not two, but three appointments with me to listen to my neurotic self and answer my questions about my under eyes. I never once felt pressured or judged. Instead, I watched as they thought carefully through my concerns and addressed them with their years of expertise. Secondly, I actually came back to Dr Gossman because he had previously excised a small tumor in my right eye that other surgeons wouldn't address. My confidence is back 100% because of it. I see a lot of reviews here that complain about their office demeanor, being brash, but I didn't experience that at all. Sure, they're up front and honest, but they're also warm-hearted and friendly. 5 stars all around. Love these two!! ❤️
- THTKS HOUSEJan 6, 20241.0Very rude and unprofessional. I took my mother-in-law there because of an eye tag she has had for 10 years. She does not like to go to doctors so it has taken a lot of time and persuasion to get her there. The first thing Dr. Gossman says when he sees her is, "so your ready to get rid of that nasty thing on you eye?" This upset my wife (who was with her) and my mother-in-law. Dr. Gossman was also very sarcastic with my wife throughout the visit.

He also said he did not think that I would be able to tell a difference at this time. I appreciated his honesty more than he could know! He even has the best staff around and an amazing sense of humor that makes you feel like you have known him forever. I cannot say enough good about this man. I will be returning in 5 years to try to give him some money again! lol By the way, my plastic surgeon recommended him! That is the best compliment a physician can have.
