Surgery
Dr. Gossman received a Doctor of Medicine Degree from the State University of New York, completed an internship in Surgery in Buffalo, New York and additional training in Neurosurgery at Case-Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. An Ophthalmology residency was completed at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation followed by a Fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine.
Dr. Gossman joined the University of Louisville in 1986 and established the first full-time Oculoplastic Surgery Service serving as its director. Thereafter he opened a private practice. As member of the clinical faculty of plastic surgery at the University of Louisville, Dr.Gossman maintains a research interest in facial reanimation.
The author of numerous articles and a lecturer on the subjects of Cosmetic and Reconstructive Oculoplastic Surgery, he is Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

- TBTricia ButlerJan 31, 20231.0Two hours after appointment time and still had not seen him all while hearing him in the hallway having lengthy conversations with employees and other patients that had nothing to do with patient care. No respect for another person’s time. Could care less once he realized I was leaving after not seeing him more than two hours after appointment time. Completely unprofessional!

- SCShannon CalesMar 12, 20205.0Dr. Gossman is AWESOME! First of all, I tried my best to get him to take my money and do surgery, but he was honest enough to tell me that I did not need it! He also said he did not think that I would be able to tell a difference at this time. I appreciated his honesty more than he could know! He even has the best staff around and an amazing sense of humor that makes you feel like you have known him forever. I cannot say enough good about this man. I will be returning in 5 years to try to give him some money again! lol By the way, my plastic surgeon recommended him! That is the best compliment a physician can have.
