For Months get a call back from the company was impossible. Even my case nurse manager had trouble getting callbacks. But the guy who brought the chair was outstanding he explained everything perfectly. He is very kind of polite and very knowledgeable Him I could work with easily I love my chair

Got my electric wheels back today. I'm so happy! I was happy with the tech that I have been dealing with the past few times I have had problems. He has kept me informed on things, let me ask questions and has treated me like a person and a priority and not just a number or paycheck. He made me feel important. Having a disability sometimes waking up and dealing with everyday life is a hassle besides dealing with worrying about where my chair is or a part is that has not been taken care of for months or weeks. The company however that I got wheelchair through has not been the best I have had big problems with them. I have a few stories I could tell you. To many to write. Lately they did not contact me with a day or time that a tech will be at my home or they have contacted me the day before saying tech will be there tomorrow. There is NO customer service at this place. I placed an order for new regular wheels back in November and just got them Feb 19th 2026 as well. After placing orders or issues with my wheelchair it has taken months to get things fixed or even done. I do understand about insurance taking time. One time they even forgot about my order until I called 4 months later to see where the progress was for my chair. This company is lucky to have this tech that I have dealt with and need to keep him. They need more people like him. No one is perfect I get that and things happen, but it has been really hard for me dealing with this company. The thing is for us wheelchair users we only have a limited choices when it comes to where we get our chairs. Thank you so much DJ ( the Tech) for your personality, helpfulness and kindness. Hope this company National Seating and Mobility will change some and have more people like you in the future. I would love and want to deal with DJ next time I have an issue or problem.

Don’t go to this company, you’re better off going somewhere else. My wife had an appointment scheduled for a wheelchair fitting, where they’d come to our house, and no one ever showed up. I’ve called over and over again and no one ever picks up the phone. She NEEDS a new chair that’s comfortable and suited to her needs. Y’all are playing with people’s health and lives. Pick up the phone. Do better.

How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?

Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
