  Discovering the billing office is a money grab. Make sure you review your receipts and stay in contact with your insurance. They will itemize every possible symptom and anything you mentioned so use your words sparingly. If you go in for a well visit and mention anything about the well-being of the child, which should be included in this visit, it will be coded as a separate visit. They put it off on insurance when really it is the coding of the office and doctors. Such a shame.

  If I could give them one star I would. My children’s previous pediatrician Dr. LaGrew retired and ever since we transferred to commonwealth we have been over charged and asked to bring in my daughter for a million visits and checkups. Recently she went in for a 2 1/2 year check and I spoke about her eczema and needing a refill and they billed my insurance over $100 for a 2 minute conversation about needing a refill completely ridiculous. If I know I would have been charged for a second visit I never would have brought it up. They tack on so many extra charges before even discussing it with the guardian. They want you to keep coming back to their office so they can charge you for every little thing. I will be disputing with my insurance company.

  I am so thankful we decided to go with this pediatric office for our daughter Honor. She has been seeing them since we brought her home, as a preemie. The front office personnel and nurses are kind and helpful . Dr Neltner and Dr Hawse have been great! We have never had an issue making same-day appointments , and they are always there for our questions and concerns. Highly recommend.

  They are great if you need to take your child in real quick for a strep or flu swab. But more and more I’m disappointed with the practice. Our pediatrician is not there often and we have to see the APRN. Today we were refused an appointment even though they had many open. I was told after a weekend trip to Urgent Care our visit would be a follow-up and they weren’t seeing those. We were told Saturday to follow up with the pediatrician in 2-3 days. But my pediatrician office said no? My child was giving oral steroids by a non MD, non pediatric provider and I would have loved to had a pediatrician opinion before I keep giving it to him. I was offered an appointment on the first day of school. I think it’s time to change practices.
