The behavior of the front desk staff at this location last Saturday evening, about 7:30pm, was absolutely appalling. They openly mocked patients who complained that they were in pain. At one point, some patients decided to leave after a long wait, the clerical staff laughed at them, brought up other patients whose pain their also made jokes of, and did not even have the decency to do this behind closed doors, so all the rest of us waiting heard everything (HIPPA, anyone?). I was shocked that Norton staff could be so unprofessional, and extremely uncaring. I could tell my child became much more nervous after hearing them. Also, just with checking in with one of them, the woman we spoke to was very short and clipped in her questions- did not ever bother to make eye contact, showed no concern that a child was checking in, etc. She barked her demands for my IDs, shoved them back towards me, and seemed almost gleeful in telling me my child would experience at least a two hour wait (in that, thankfully, she was wrong- we were done in an hour and a half thanks to a merciful nurse practitioner). Truly the most heartless and least professional place I have seen in Elizabethtown, or really, anywhere. We will chance an emergency room visit before we would ever go back to this "Care Center".
