  Where I live it’s hard to find a chiropractor. I’ve been away for 7 years on a small Caribbean island with poor health care. I’m 42 and I suffer from an occasional pinched nerve in my lower back that is debilitating to the point of putting me in bed for days at a time. With no medical feedback from a reliable source, I grew hesitant to exercise and fearful of my future. I did find a chiropractor and went for a few visits, but found him to be rough and cause me even more pain. I found it necessary to begin taking Diclofenac regularly to maintain the constant pain and inflammation. So when I came into Kentucky for a week to visit family, I knew I needed an adjustment. My sisters and mom recommended Dr. Wagner and I’m so glad. Immediately he greeted me with, “So you are real!” It was a funny indication that he already knew my story because my sisters had told him about my situation. And he had listened. I really appreciated the familiarity. He took lots of time to talk with me about my history and looked at the x-rays I had brought with me. He explained things about my spine condition no one else had noticed. But most of all he built up my confidence by assuring me I have a strong back that just needed a small correction and proper exercise. I was so relieved! The actual adjustment was a worry to me, since I’d had a terrible experience at the hands of the other chiropractor, who seemed to treat my middle aged body like a teenager athlete, yanking and pulling to the point of extreme discomfort. But Dr. Wagner explained what he was going to do and also what he was not going to do. His adjustment was short and he only cracked where it needed to be cracked. It felt great actually, and I appreciated when he said, “Sometimes less is more in chiropractic.” The best part of the visit was when he took me to the physical therapy room and showed me exercises to strengthen my core. I’ve been doing them faithfully the last three weeks and I’m seeing great improvement in my posture and strength. I’m off the pain tablets. My stiffness and aches seem to be declining daily. I’m deeply grateful for the role Dr. Wagner played in my journey to a strong back!

  Over the years, I have seen a LOT of different specialists and chiropractors for sciatica and other back problems. Dr. Wagner takes the time to explain what he is doing and why, and also takes an interest in my overall health goals. The hours make it easy to fit into my schedule- I no longer have to choose between taking off work and taking care of my back pain! Dr. Wagner was also upfront about cost: he explained what I might expect based on my insurance, and communicated with me as soon as they knew the amount I would pay out of pocket. No suprise bills in the mail! I will be highly recommending this office to my friends and family!

  I was involved in a head on collision last year. Dr Wagner has done an amazing job helping with my pain. I can now get through my days with out worrying about the pain. He listens to your concerns and walks you through everything he does and how it will help. Thank you Dr. Wagner for all your help and thank you Lisa for being awesome as well!!!
