The Quest Diagnostics difference. Bringing together quality, speed, and technology to power advanced, affordable diagnostics for all. No trade-offs required.
It is unfortunate that our insurance requires us to use Quest or they will not pay. The phlebotomists are not experienced. She hit a nerve, it felt like someone shocked my wrist. I am having a hard time using my hand now because it feels like I am getting shocked. Having to see my doctor now for something they caused. They honestly do not care about people and are rude. It takes numerous attempts from my doctor to even get the orders to them, and don't even try to call the local number. You get a recording and the MAILBOX IS FULL!!!!

I had a really good experience at Quest Labs. It took me a little bit to figure out exactly where it was since it’s inside the building (not in the hospital, I was a bit confused at first!).
I don’t go to the city much, but once I parked near the hospital and walked over, it was easy enough to find.
The walk wasn’t bad at all once I knew which building I needed. (I took a picture of the building if it helps!)
Check-in was super easy since I already had an appointment. I just signed in on the little kiosk/tablet. My appointment was at 8:15 AM, but I arrived around 8:00, and they called me back almost right away.
There were two very nice ladies working in the lab area who did my blood draw. They were friendly, professional, and quick. The whole process was smooth, and I was on my way in no time.
The office is upstairs, so you’ll need to take the elevator, and once you get off, it’s just to the right, pretty much right in front of you.
Overall, a super friendly and efficient experience, and I’d definitely go back!

My employer gives us a perk Zero program where diagnostic and lab testing are free. Quest is one of the designated providers and this is my second time using their service. Both times I was in and out in a flash. I made my appointment online with many openings to choose from. The staff is pleasant and there was not a long wait time after checking in. My results are usually available to review online in less than 24 hours and a copy sent to my PCP.

I arrived at Quest at approximately 4:00 pm. The posted closing time for this location is 4:30 pm. I understand that 30 minutes before closing cuts it tight, but I don’t get off from work till 3:30pm. I did my absolute best to get there with sufficient time with my insurance card and lab orders from Doctor ready to try to be less of an inconvenience to them. I get it. I work in healthcare too.
I was told they could not process my lab work because they couldn’t see my orders…The issue was not that my orders were missing. They were visible in my patient portal. I even had the barcode for them to scan. The staff was unable to locate or process them on their end. They even refused to look at my paperwork with the barcode.
They claimed the problem was because I was out of state, even though Quest operates nationwide and lab orders are valid at any Quest location. They also stated my provider being based in New York was an issue, which is not relevant for Quest lab orders.
They were also unable to correctly process my UT SELECT insurance, despite my insurance information being on file in my account and me providing my insurance card in person.
I strongly believe that they just didn’t want to see me due to it being 30 minutes before close of business which again is very unfortunate because people are busy with tight work schedules. Again, it’s not like I showed up 5 minutes before closing with absolutely no paperwork or information. I literally had everything ready for them.
This was a failure of staff training and basic operational competence.

What do I need to know before I arrive at a Quest Patient Service Center?
Please be aware that when you visit a Quest Patient Service Center:
• Scheduled appointments are strongly encouraged and will receive priority. Please arrive and check in 10 minutes before your appointment time. If you check in more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, you will be served as a walk-in.

Do you accept walk-ins?
Scheduled appointments are strongly encouraged and will receive priority. If you walk in, you will have to wait for the next available opening.
Should I be fasting?
Fasting before a blood draw means you don’t eat or drink anything except water. If your test requires it, don't forget to fast for 8-12 hours before your appointment. If you’re not sure, contact your doctor's office. To learn more about how to prepare for your test, visit QuestDiagnostics.com/patients/get-tested/prepare/fasting for additional fasting information.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Please arrive and check in 10 minutes before your appointment time. If you check in more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, you will be served as a walk-in.
You should bring the following to your appointment:
•A lab order from your doctor. If your doctor did not give you a paper order, check with them to see if they sent it electronically.
•Photo identification listing your first name, last name, and date of birth (for example, a driver's license, government issued photo ID, Passport, or Green Card).
•Current health insurance information.
•Credit, debit, or health savings card. You will be asked to preauthorize payment for any balance due after your insurance is billed.
It’s important to also know if your test requires fasting the day before and/or morning of your appointment. Your healthcare provider should have indicated this on your lab order or during your visit. Learn more about fasting before a lab test.
Note: Childcare is not available and the waiting area is not attended. Some testing protocols, such as drug screenings or pre-employment screenings, have strict rules which do not allow children to accompany the patient during sample collection. If you have questions about your testing protocols, please contact your healthcare professional or employer for additional information.
How do I check in when I arrive?
Sign in using the Check-in kiosk, or if not available, sign the clipboard at the front desk. Please be prepared to present a valid photo ID and insurance information. Be sure to mark the reason for your visit when signing in.
If you were unable to preregister ahead of time, and would like to do so, you may be able to complete the registration process if you arrive a few minutes early at a Quest Patient Service Center that has a Check-in kiosk. When you check in with your mobile number, you may be asked if you want to complete the registration process on your smartphone while you wait.
My doctor told me they would send over an order. Do you have it?
If your doctor said they would send us the order electronically or via fax, there is no need to confirm that we have the order. If we do not have the order, we will call the doctor to obtain it when you arrive at our Quest Patient Service Center. To prevent delays, be sure to visit our location during your doctor’s office hours or obtain a copy of your order from your doctor.
How soon after my visit will my doctor receive my lab test results?
Turnaround times for test results can vary. If you have a MyQuest account, your test results will be delivered to your account as soon as they are available. This can take 2-5 business days from the time the sample is received, depending on your test.
You should always follow up with your doctor to discuss your results.
