Jordan explained every feature of the chair so I would understand how to use it. I am very small & short & Jordan made sure the chair & the cushion suited my body perfectly. He was very kind, thoughtful & understanding of my needs. It took me one week to fully feel comfortable in the chair & using all of the features.

The technician that repaired my cushion was very quick and very nice along with the receptionist who scheduled a time time to repair my cushion. - BBBrockJul 24, 20245.0NSM was ama to deal with as a stroke survivor from may 2016 from the initial request from my therapist Melissa and her team took care of EVERYTHING I didn't have to do anything but hurry up and wait they collected all the documentation required to get my amazing new power chair covered through my medical insurance the online order tracker kept me updated on the progression beginning to end from the fit & finish rep my funding rep everyone was accessible knowledgeable responsive other than my own lack of patience and excitement I don't have a single gripe of course trying to get insurance to cover a large expense is always going to be a long battle but I didn't have to deal with any of it

To help ensure your choice of NSM, you should request that your physician and/or therapist select us as your provider of choice.
How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?

Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
