I have mental health issues and suffer from anxiety really bad. My Doctors office has been less than easy to deal with on getting my medication filled this month and I’m frustrated with my insurance company as well. I got a message from my nurse saying she called the pharmacy. With that being said, I called the pharmacy to see how long it would take because I have to walk there to get it, and the head pharmacist got on the phone and snapped at me telling me “Amy I told you earlier I’m waiting on the Dr’s office to call..’ very rude. I snapped back that I had to verify with the pharmacy that my drs office didn’t call before I make a complaint about the nurse. And yea I got rude back and hung up. Maybe I shouldn’t have e did that, but I haven’t had a professional be that rude to me since I was kid and didn’t know any better. Again I suffer from mental health issues and feel like she has no patience for ill people. Maybe she’s in the wrong field.

Edit to say: I finally talked to a head pharmacist about this and she said that "the drive through window closes at 12:45." I suggested that they update this information not only on their website and maps listing, but that they also put up a sign so that other people could find out this strange, occult, insider information and plan accordingly. I've been using this pharmacy for years, so I know when they close for lunch. I'm happy that they get a lunch break. It's important that people not work through lunch. I am adamant about this, and I wish that our work culture was not such that people work through lunch. On Friday of this last week, I showed up at 12:55 PM and the drive through was already closed for lunch. I was on a tight schedule, because it was my lunchtime as well, and I wasn't able to come back that day to get my prescription. I am going to talk to them this next week when I see them to find out why they closed early for lunch. Perhaps someone was sick? Perhaps they had a good reason? But it's annoying when you know what the stated hours are and yet they do not stick to them. Lucky for me that this prescription wasn't something I have to take every day, or I would've been in trouble! Lesson learned. Don't depend on what people say they are going to do, and always have a back up plan if you're running out of your medication. This goof on their part may actually prompt me to switch my prescription to a locally-owned pharmacy, as it seems like most of them are being challenged this year and need our support.
