- RSRaydog SchillerAug 26, 20252.0Went in to have receiver/earpiece replaced. The original worked, the wire had just lost some of its firmness. Charged me $80 for a replacement. They used a shorter earpiece and told me it would be fine. As soon as I drove off, it quit working. Turned around and went back and advised them that I wanted the size that I originally used. They had one overnighted and replaced it. Still had trouble with it losing volume. Took it back and Morgan cleaned "gunk" out of it and said it was okay. No, still experienced intermittent shut downs. Stopped at the O.P., KS store and the gentleman took a look at it and cleaned "oil" off the connection in the hearing aid. After leaving there, started same trouble again. Sent an email to the contact for the company. Was advised they would contact me. A week and a half later, still waiting. Called the help number, left my info, still waiting after a week. Morgan at the KCK store advised me to come in at 9:30 today and have her take a look at it. She then changed the appointment to 2p.m. I drove 20 miles to have her tell me that my hearing aid needed to be sent for repair at $400. Luckily for me, I still had the original piece. I told her to put the old one back on and refund me my $80. It seems to work just fine. Customer service with the corporate office is non existent. Will go elsewhere when I need to replace my hearing aids. 8 hours later, no problems with the original piece. As of 9-7, I have not received my $80. According to the office, it's under review with their supervisor. They didn't repair my hearing aid and they still have the part they charged me for. Unbelievable!!!!
