I am writing to formally complain about the unacceptable experience I had at your LensCrafters location last night. I arrived at the store at approximately 6:40 PM, after receiving a text notification that my glasses were ready for pickup. Upon arrival, all of the lights in the store were turned off, despite the store still being open for another 20 minutes. I walked up to the door and saw a male employee with braids inside. I motioned to my watch to indicate that I was within the posted business hours. He opened the door, then walked away without saying anything. When he returned, I explained that I was there to pick up my glasses. He did not greet me or offer any customer service whatsoever. His demeanor was cold, dismissive, and extremely rude. After giving him my name, he informed me that my glasses were Meta Frames and went to the back to retrieve them. He asked for my old pair due to this being a warranty replacement, which I provided. He then handed me a box in a dark store and told me to open it and put them on. I explained that I could not see to do so because the lights were off and I did not have my glasses. I had to ask him to open the box for me. He finally did so, handed them to me, and I put them on and left—without any assistance, explanation, or courtesy. This is my fourth pair of Meta glasses purchased through LensCrafters, and I have been a loyal customer up until now. However, this experience was beyond rude and completely unprofessional. Closing the store early, turning off the lights while customers are still allowed to enter, and treating a paying customer with such disregard is unacceptable. You have lost a customer permanently due to this experience. I am extremely disappointed and expect better from a company of this caliber. Please do better.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters Optique

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
