The nurses were kind and responsive. There was a long wait time but I was a walk-in. I accepted that. Everything was lovely until I had the displeasure of meeting Dr. Natasha R Stanglein. She walked in and immediately seemed disgusted with me just being there. I am a black man. Be weary if you go here as a person of color. She was short with her words and incredibly rude about giving me a doctors note for my job. I’ve never had an issue with doctors pre-dating a doctors note. Especially since it was only the day before I was asking for. And especially if she herself already diagnosed me for today. She was defensive, rude and dismissive. She shouldn’t work in healthcare if has an issue communicating others. But I suspect she would have been kinder had I not been black.
I’m very disappointed with the care at this urgent care. My 9-year-old nephew came in with vomiting, high fever, and a very fast heart rate. They only said it was an ear infection and prescribed amoxicillin. After a week he was getting worse, still vomiting and with fever, so we brought him back and explained everything again. This time they said it might be appendicitis.
We decided to take him to Riley Children’s Hospital, where doctors quickly found the real problem: he had fluid around his heart. That was the reason for the vomiting, fever, and fast heart rate.
It’s very concerning that this urgent care dismissed serious symptoms and kept changing the diagnosis while he was getting worse. If we had continued trusting them, the situation could have become life-threatening. Families bring their children here expecting proper evaluation, and this experience was extremely frustrating and scary

Extremely poor service from nurses and providers. Fast check in. No fuss. My son was experiencing flu like symptoms. Norse swapped the inside of his nose and he was bleeding for several minutes from his nose. He doesn't usually get nose bleeds so that was odd. Made us wait an additional hour for a test they could not complete. Waiting endlessly with no update. I was here for 2.5 hours with no one in the waiting room at 8am. Poorly run urgent care with careless workers with no bedside manner. I will not be returning here.

I love that we have an IU Health Urgent Care right in the heart of Broad Ripple. I’ve had nothing but wonderful care my children here from the front office staff, to the techs, to the PAs, and doctors. Thank you for listening and being so responsive to our needs.

I felt very cared for , the NP sat down and listened to me, the CSR at the front desk was kind and helpful, the MA was kind and helpful. The entire experience was great
