Great service, attentive to my concerns, prompt scheduling, empathetic and willing to make sure I fully understood my options.
Got an unsatisfying lack of answers at my normal OB-GYN (was basically told they didn't know what was wrong, but to deal with it and come back in a few months for another scan), so I was looking for a second opinion. This practice had me scheduled 2 weeks from when I called, but a week out the symptoms worsened noticeably. When I called and explained, they had me rescheduled for that day. I initially saw a nurse, but upon exam, instead of making me reschedule again to see someone else, she just brought in a dermatologist and OB-GYN to consult in the same visit. The doctor explained all the options, stressed that I should do whatever I was most comfortable with, and made special note that I would be out of state for an extended period of time in 3 weeks, promising to emphasize that to scheduling. This was all on a Friday; on the following Monday at 9am, they called and got me scheduled for surgery that Friday. They even made sure my initial appointment would count as a surgery consult, so I didn't have to make another appointment just to jump through bureaucratic hoops. I cannot stress how comforting it was that even though my diagnosis is still uncertain, the doctors, nurses, and office staff here were all incredibly understanding, efficient, and empathetic, and operated with a sense of urgency similar to my own. Too often explaining not-immediately-diagnosable pain or symptoms to medical staff results in platitudes and assurances that it could go away on its own; here, the staff were quick to offer concrete steps to alleviate pain and return to everyday life, instead of pushing off treatment endlessly while waiting for a smoking gun symptom to present itself.
I'll be switching to IU for all my OB-GYN appointments from here on out.
