  My daughter loves getting her teeth cleaned here. We’ve been going to Dr. J’s since she was 2 years old.

  My son has been a patient at Dr. J Pediatric Dentistry for a while now, and we’ve always had a great experience! The staff is consistently friendly, patient, and welcoming, which makes such a difference for kids. They really take the time to make my son feel comfortable and explain everything in a way that helps ease any nervousness. The dentist is gentle, professional, and clearly cares about their patients’ well-being. The office is always clean, organized, and runs smoothly. I truly appreciate the level of care they provide every visit. I highly recommend Dr. J Pediatric Dentistry to any parent looking for a trustworthy and kid-friendly dental office!

  If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. Scheduled my three children for new patient appointments at the Lawrence office. After waiting for an hour, went up to the front desk and let them know we would have to cancel as both my husband and I were missing work to be here and staff had not communicated at all about running behind or anything of the sort. They do have a sign that says they have new software and that is slowing down but they also have a sign that says if you are 10 minutes late they will reschedule you due to being courteous of other appointments etc. Once I let them know we were cancelling, all of a sudden a staff member decides to come out and say they’re ready. Let her know that unfortunately we are not staying. We had already paid what we would owe so asked them to refund us. Office manager came out and acted as if I was in the wrong because per her “only one of your children is scheduled at 1:30 and the other two are at 2:00” explained that if that is the case that was not effectively communicated because my text messages of which I received an excessive amount of reminders from the office show 1:30 for all of them. She then tried to say that “oh well the appointment start at 1:30 but you’re on the schedule for 2” Even if that were the case it’s still 40 minutes past a 2 pm appointment at this point. I fully believe that they intended to keep what we had paid as I had to ask for a receipt to confirm that we had actually been refunded and they acted as if it was an inconvenience. We have never been to Dr Js and this was a very poor first experience. When an office is running that far behind the appropriate action would have been to say “I know your appt was at 1:30 but we are running behind by (insert however long) would you like to wait or would you like to reschedule?” We will most certainly not be back nor will we recommend them.

  Dr. J is amazing, the rest of the staff is questionable. My daughter had a very traumatizing experience here last year getting caps put on where they drilled her teeth and gums without numbing. Not even topical. It was the worst experience ever. We kept coming because we figured we’d just not see that dentist anymore (it wasn’t Dr. J). Every appointment since then they’ve been over 30 minutes behind. Then today they cancelled my daughter’s appointment without telling me. They can send confirmation texts but apparently don’t give any notice when they cancelled the actual appointment. So we drove 45 minutes for no reason. Will not be coming back.
