The staff engaged with us to help give the drops to my toddler. He’s hyper sensitive so he is easily overwhelmed in new places. Everyone was very nice & understanding, even though he was upset the entire time. Everything was completed in a timely manner & not once did we feel unwanted there.

Dana Donaldson, OD is incompetent. Do not trust your child’s health in her hands. My child was referred here at 4 months old for a dermoid cyst. We saw Dana Donaldson, an optometrist, when we were referred specifically to see an ophthalmologist- a SURGEON. At our first visit, she pushed us out a year until he was old enough for anesthesia. That 1 year follow up was in February, a month and a half ago. This was when it became apparent to me that Dana Donaldson is no surgeon or even a medical doctor. She’s an optometrist. She took photos of my child’s eye on her iPhone, told me she’d send it to the group chat of surgeons to see who would perform the surgery. Said I would get a call the next week. I never did. I had to call back 2 1/2 weeks later. The medical assistant had no clue what I was talking about, had to put a note in. I had to call yet again for an update. Finally told their surgery scheduler left. Randy, their current scheduler, would give me a call soon. Perfect. Surgery date set for 3/24 with the ophthalmologist and surgeon we should have seen all along, Dr. Kathryn Haider. Cardiac clearance sent over 3/9. Cardiologist doesn’t respond in good time. I am not called until 4 pm on Friday, 3/20 to be informed of this. I am told I must get this in time Monday, so he is cleared Tuesday for surgery. I am blown up ALL DAY Monday being told to call the cardiologist myself to get this cardiac clearance done. Thank god, we get it done in time. Surgery is set for this morning, 3/24. I get there. Checked in. My child hasn’t eaten. 120 miles driven. Work missed. Money lost. I’m told by Dr. Haider that my child should have had an MRI to be sure exactly the size of the cyst being operated on. Dr. Haider gives me the option to still do a risky surgery. Ummmm?? Who was going to do this? When was this gonna be done? Are you actually serious? So now I drive home. Money lost. Out of work for nothing. Gas coming from my pocket. My child’s cyst is still there and growing. All because in the past 13 months of being your patient, DANA DONALDSON, you FAILED to properly prepare a 17 month old for surgery. 13 MONTHS. You had to do your job. 13 months. We waited for a surgery. We came to this office just for this surgery. And after over a year of waiting we are told we are still missing some information. We had all of this time to do this. Your office is pitiful in terms of professionalism and patient care. Absolutely insane. My child has a growing cyst that I also now know, could be inside of the eye socket- not just the brow bone. When was this going to be mentioned, Dana? Hope you enjoyed the easy insurance payout for our two pointless visits with you because you’re good as reported and never seeing my child in front of your face again. This woman’s access to pre surgical patients and preparations needs to be investigated. I'm furthermore appalled by the fact I must wait for a call back for transfer of care to Dr. Kathryn Haider as primary. Dana Donaldson never had any business seeing my son, so to go through all of this and need to wait for approval to be seen by the doctor we were referred 13 months ago to see is insane.
