Dr. Nelson is one of the most caring doctors I’ve met. She took care of my situation and QUICKLY! She made sure I was taken care of. I will be able to have my scheduled surgery on time, not another reschedule! The entire staff bent over backwards and I can’t say enough about my experience!

I have dealt with cardiologists at both Lutheran and Parkview (OK, but not great. At Parkview, cardiology seems like a factory environment. Lutheran doctors, maybe too much hubris?) I chose Allen County Cardiology (referral) because they are independent, non judgmental, and thorough. When you see the doctors you are given as much time as you need. I have found the staff to be positive, personable, and professional. Kudos to Dr. Nelson for being an outstanding, knowledgeable doctor. I feel she has saved my life!

I've seen this office after being hospitalized for high blood pressure and their follow up is very poor. I've gone a full month with very high blood pressure and have called about 5 times and another physician even called to intervene with no luck. I just want to see if the doc wants me to do anything different or if meds should be adjusted until my next appointment. Nothing unreasonable.
I asked for an office manager and was told the manager was the nurse I had been talking to.and they offered to transfer me to the other nurse after I complained. I didn't get a response from that nurse either. I have no idea if the doctor has even gotten my messages. Generally speaking the office staff is a bit rude and standoffish. Not everyone though.
I chose this office because of it being independent because I'm fatigued with the healthcare climate in Fort Wayne. It's the wonkiest it's ever been no matter which company you go with.

My husband was referred to this.... I would say medical office but that would be laughable. This is a building with bodies in it basically. Nobody knows what they're doing. He was referred by Lutheran Downtown Hospital after an ER visit. We actually live over 2 hours away but kept the appt. When he drove there he was first almost turned away because they told him they didn't take his insurance, which was not true. After I told him not to leave and demand to speak to someone besides the girl at the front desk they got that figured out. He then was taken back with an MA that could quite literally barely speak English or understand him. Once he saw the doctor she said Lutheran didn't even send anything outside of the referral. He had another er trip by home and provided her with a copy of the EKG that showed abnormalities there, she kept it instead of copying it. She said they could order tests and then transfer a referral to our hometown. The girl at the front didn't know what she was doing and said that she would have another girl who was on break send it when she got back. That was a month ago. Still no referral. They stated they sent a referral on the 10th (mind you that is almost a month after his appt was there) yet the office up here has yet to receive it. This is a nightmare. We have called countless times. Everyone is ALWAYS on break?! I'm unsure after his experience and the other reviews how this"practice" is still up and running. Retrain your entire staff before someone croaks on yall's watch because of the incompetent staff please!!
