In the name of saving yourself an excess of time, money, and stress DO NOT make this pharmacy your preferred provider. For years I stayed at this particular branch because the store itself is just incredible as far as a friendly and helpful staff. I have had people come into my office from out of town and comment how kind everyone is and it could not be more true. However, the pharmacy seems to have determined a bitter and polar opposite approach to assisting patients. I don’t complain easily or often as I understand everyone has a bad day or three. When I had gotten to the point of having SO many issues, friends would ask about the latest episode of The Jay C Pharmacy and I unfortunately never had cause to disappoint them with the latest erratic and erroneous service story. It is not a joke any longer as the amount of time, stress, and money I have spent due to their error is astonishing. I finally gave up the ship after my 376th episode: I called and explained that I was heading out of town in the morning, could I pick up my prescription that afternoon on my way home? Of course it they said. Joke was on me as they had unexpectedly closed early. Spoke to manager- yes! This will be ready for you at 7 am and I will be sure to leave them a note. I knew the pharmacy opened at nine but figured they were coming in early due to closure. Nope- closed. Nine O’Clock - pharmacist states sorry not ready never heard of this. I’m again astounded. Got it ready- price still incorrect. Spent nearly 500$ on 3/4 month prescription and they stated that was with the discount card. I no longer had the time to wait nor the wherewithal to go without medication I’ve taken for years. Called the manager - sorry who told you this would be ready? Had to go through and explain again. Also detailed incorrect pricing as per app, etc. She told me Austin was out of town, could she call me Monday? No call. Just for kicks I let this go on until Wednesday when I called and “she was in a meeting and will he for a few hours”. I called back and got the corporate number. A week later they called me but by this point they had completely lost me as a client and gained an avid advocate against the pharmacies unprofessional and unlawful conduct. I have been told my prescription would be ready just to have someone call back and say it was lost. What!!! Was just told you had it. Spoke to three more people. Three different excuses. However, pshew! They found it. Have been told medicine was not due just to turn around and tell pharmacist “Oh I told her it wasn’t ready- not that it wasn’t due. Line full of people and she is shouting my medications name. What an egregious example of a HIPAA violation not to mention I’m stunned by this display of poor conduct and unprofessionalism by “Elizbeth”. Please ask for someone else if you have the bad luck to get her. I cannot count the sheer number of times she told me something could not be ready while the other staff told me it would be ready momentarily. Pharmacies are short staffed. Everyone is, I get it. However I have never exchanged professionalism and due care for my clients just because staffing is short. And I cannot imagine how much added pressure should be on them as they are dealing with people’s health. This complaint is for this who can’t fight the battle every month to get the prescriptions they need. Those elderly and disabled who go to the drive through randomly closed- no notice. Those who come to the pharmacy itself- closed no notice. I never had time for this due to work constraints until it became absolutely imperative I focus on and correct the issue. Now my full attention is devoted to these issues and the case study I have created. I did the dreaded pharmacy prescription transfer and my prescriptions were ready in three minutes flat and they found me excellent discount cards. Jay C Management - do better!!!!! Pharmacy - close if you can not abide by rules and regulations.
