The staff is on their game from the start. They keep things in order so that everything gets carried out efficiently.
I was surprised that it took two days to get into surgery

âŚi was handled with such care here- this was the first time i came and had a 3hr wait, but sometimes others are in a dire need, respectfully so- dr harvey mills could not have been more kind- he didnât rush- he made sure i felt comfortable and safe going home with the pain more controlled after being seen- alot of doctors donât ask those questions- thank you- my nurse mitchell was the kindest soul also- very gentle spirit, also ensuring i was ok- i say all the time kindness matters- speaking of so, i overheard a nurse, âaneilaâ, giving the utmost patience to an elderly patient- and it was alot required of her, but she remained kind and never showcased frustration- the front desk staff were also nothing but friendly- saxony, thank you for caring for me, in such a professional yet nurturing way- truly.

My husband drove me to the ER with a dislocated shoulder. We thought it would be faster as we live just 3 miles away. There were more than 10 people waiting. Most looked as though they had colds/flu issues, a couple with issues such as vomiting, etc. Clearly being in intense pain with a dislocated shoulder, I felt that I would be seen faster than someone who was blowing their nose, coughing or puking. Our grandson was home alone so after dropping me at the ER I sent my husband to the house to be with him with instruction that I would call after being attended to. After waiting approximately 45 minutes with only one person being called into triage and then sent back into the waiting room, I determined, considering the horrific pain I was in, that I would step outside and take the chance at better, faster care at a different ER. St Vincent is literally right across the street. Luckily, they were able to take me directly into a room and within 20 minutes, I had an IV line inserted, visited by the attending Dr, taken to X-Ray and administered pain medication. Within the next 30 minutes, my shoulder was relocated and my husband was able to pick me up and take me back home.
