I had a very disappointing experience at this massage place. I specifically asked the therapist (Angela) to focus on my calves, forearms, and shoulders because I run and work out frequently. Unfortunately, she didn’t seem to understand my request at all. These are very simple English words. I repeated myself several times, but she still could not understand. Communication was extremely poor, which is unacceptable.Instead, she kept working on my lower back and glutes, even though I clearly did not ask for that. It made me feel uncomfortable and honestly a bit offended. It felt like she either wasn’t listening or simply didn’t care about what I requested. When you pay for a massage, you expect the therapist to understand basic instructions and respect your needs. This experience made me question the professionalism and training here. I will not be coming back and will be finding a different massage place next time

We came for a couples massage and it was amazing! The staff was so kind, 10/10 would recommend.

I booked a prenatal massage here because it was specifically advertised. What I experienced was so disappointing and raised serious concerns about safety. Upon arrival, the therapist instructed me to lie on my stomach. I had to explain that this is neither possible nor safe during pregnancy. Mind you, I’m 8 months pregnant with a VERY large baby bump so there was no confusion about whether or not I was pregnant. I had to ask for something to support my belly when laying on my side. She focused on squeezing my shoulders for 90% of the time and never asked which areas I’d like focus on. She spent a long time barely touching my legs and hips over a sheet, which just felt awkward and did not resemble a professional massage at all. Despite asking for work on my hips and lower back, which were my primary area of pain, they were barely touched. When I asked for deeper pressure, I was told it would be done when I lay flat on my back — another position that is not possible late in pregnancy for safely reasons. No pregnant client should have to educate the person providing their care on these most basic guidelines, especially when prenatal massage is advertised on their website. Due to a significant language barrier, I had to ask the therapist to use a translation app to communicate the fact that I have a lavender allergy and ask if there was any fragrance in the oil. These are fundamental pieces of information for any massage appointment, especially prenatal. I had been looking forward to getting some much needed relief from the pain and discomfort of pregnancy and instead left feeling upset that I had to micromanage the appointment, with zero relief and deeply concerned that prenatal services are being offered without appropriate training or understanding of pregnancy safety.

I have booked a few massages and found one lady I really liked. She did a good massage and more personalized...not the usual scripted massage using the same repetitive motions. I asked her name so when I go back I could request her. Unfortunately, I have requested that person twice now and I have not had the same person. Sadly, I'll be going elsewhere now.

I drive from 3 towns over to get my massages here! I LOVE it and have never received a bad massage. The employees are the sweetest and throughout the massage will check on you to make sure everything is still going well. I love how the hot stones are included in the massage price and not an extra charge. The stamp card for each visit is an added bonus or if you go Monday-Thursday, it’s $10 off. I always leave feeling relaxed and like a brand new person. My monthly massages are my favorite thing to look forward to since finding Katie’s. Try it out, you will not be disappointed!!
