An urgent care which is not URGENT for them ! Waiting time for almost 2 hours.. . Seen by NP..but doesn't know how to diagnose. Strep test was not done..phlegm was yellow and brown.. and yet NP diagnosed it as Viral. Prescription given was only OTC meds, in which already started.. need urgent care visit to determine the diagnosis and expect any meds to ease the pain.. unfortunately.., none was done. Wont be recommending this place. It's a waste of time , effort and money ! Got a follow up call from IU a day after the visit.. and raised our concerns.. but it instead we were advised that we should instead go to our pirmary care physician not urgent care . So hence, what's the use of your urgent care??? If i can rate zero? Since they did nothing just bill you for the visit??
Household family member was evaluated at IU urgent care in Brownsburg and received a diagnosis and prescription that were later determined to be inaccurate and potentially dangerous. When he presented to the emergency room at Hendricks Regional Health less than 24 hours later, their ER physician identified the actual diagnosis and advised that the medication prescribed at urgent care was not only inappropriate, but potentially dangerous given the true diagnosis. The visit to IU Urgent Care caused unnecessary risk, wasted time, and delayed appropriate treatment. I understand that urgent care settings can be fast-paced, but patients rely on accurate assessments, thorough evaluation, and safe prescribing. A simple x-ray would have yielded an accurate diagnosis. In typical fashion, IU Health continues to put profits ahead of patient care.

Worse service, had to wait over 40 minutes with no other patients. They refuse care and send you to ER if it’s close to closing because they don’t want to stay over. Nurse/ MA is rude and condescending all the time. Won’t go back!! Would give them zero star if I could.
Edited to add: the receptionist didn’t ask for my insurance, which created problems down the line. She was very short with me the whole time, never speaking in a complete sentence. Would have been nice to have a different experience.
Patient comfort seems to be a top priority with seating, sound machine in exam room, and hot / cold water provided with tea. I was in and out in 40 minutes and got what I came for. Thanks!
