Everyone is very nice, always takes time, explains so I can understand, addresses my concerns n answers my questions. The nurses that I've had so far have been very kind n Dr Heuman is great !

I've had some good service and I've had poor. Overall, it's mediocre. It's definitely not where I prefer to be or feel safe. While the nurses do call you back with directions, it might not be the same week. Meds are too serious to play with. I've lost control of my body and fell to the floor, waiting on those call backs with directions. They tell you to go to the ER if you feel symptoms. The ER treats you crummy because it's not a true emergency but you feel like it is because it's your heart. Or, You need go to the ER for an emergency. But, you wait til the next day because you're afraid the ER will treat you poorly. They use gaslighting statements to turn you away or cast the guilt of their burnout. I went to turn in my holter heart monitor as directed. My BP was running really low and I felt faint. While I was there, I explained to the lady at the desk how I was feeling. She asked me if I'd like someone to check my BP. I said yes and had a seat. Everyone in the room could hear the nurse from the back say very loudly, "We have patients to see and we don't do walk in's! If she has an emergency, go downstairs!" I told the poor girl having to relay that message, "no thanks, Ill wait till I fall over". I'm almost tired of fighting for my life due to the uncontrollable attitudes and neglect. I've been a nurse all my life and I've never, turned anyone away when they needed help on or off the clock.

All of the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Dr. Sumption is an incredibly kind person with a genuine concern for his patients. He took the time to get to know me and explained my condition in a way that was both reassuring and easy to understand. I’ve seen a number of cardiologists due to a congenital defect and this was by far the most positive experience.

Had a defibulator installed almost three months ago. It was implanted under my arm versus my chest. I was misinformed about the size and location of this device. I have continous pain all the time when lifting my left arm up, laying down, or sitting back. Everything I do pushes it into my ribs which makes sleeping or sitting next to impossible. I highly do not recommend this device but it was "sold" to me as a much better option for my age. If I had been informed that it was over 3X the size I was originally told I would have never agreed. I informed the doctor of a right torn rotator cuff that never healed. I now have to sleep on my right side which has made my previous injury unbearable too. I am planning on having it removed this winter due to the continuous pain. According to my doctor I am not the first person wanting this done, however, he said I would be the first to follow through with the removal. The operation was extremely painful (no medication for that) when sent home the same day. I would definetly look around before going with the first doctor that is chosen for you! Definetly insist on the defibulator that goes into your chest versus under your arm.
