  They gave my mom cataract surgery appointment for the 30th after pre-op evaluation, and a folder of paperwork which had follow-up appointments. The caucasian lady sitting on the front desk was rude and ignorant. Then after 2 weeks, she got a call from billing asking for 4k co-pay days before her surgery! She already called off of work and made arrangements for the day and time of the surgery and picked up her prescription eye drops as well. Whitson vision is unprofessional, poorly managed and lacks transparency.

  Giving grace for my 1st experience. My appt was cancelled at 10 pm the night before due to an illness of the OD I was scheduled to see. However, I did get in to see another OD later in the day, Alicia Grove. I understand this was a squeeze-in appointment, but did wait 1.25 hours before actually seeing the Dr...again allowing grace. I will give this office another chance before deciding to move on. They were very professional and honest. My experience with Alicia Grove was great once I did get to see her. On another occasion my eye glass Rx was incorrectly entered in the data base. Then came cataract surgery. Not sure what happened there. I was told to sign my cataract choice paper even though I was still thinking and was given the copy that stated "still thinking". When I asked the Dr assistant if my out of pocket extra for an astigmatism lense for correction would be a problem she stated that it shouldn't be since I didnt have much near sightedness. Ive always been near sighted. Then there was a glacoma stent... Then came the surgery on the left eye 11/2024. During a followup I was told I needed to sign.papers for the right eye surgery. And was given papers to sign in a rushed environment t. I got to glance at the paperwork and said this isnt even for the correct lense. They said thats fine we know what you need. I haven't had the other eye done nor been given corrected paperwork. Still not visually correct in the one eye and need a good eye to see if Im going to even consider surgery on the other eye;right?? 2 years and 4 months later for the other eye...perhaps Ill look elsewhere.
