No one should have to wait 3 hours to be seen by a doctor when at the ER. My husband dies or has more damage to his heart because they didn't get him seen in time, people will pay!

Amazing staff, nurses and doctors. A very loving and professional place. They took such good care of me when I found out thanks to iu West hospital scan machine that I had two kidney stones in one kidney on my right side. It was extremely painful and I was miserable from the pain, iu West hospital took care of me there and then, immediately and thankfully. I recommend iu West hospital, absolutely, their doing such a great job, respectfully and very professional, and caring as well. Very different atmosphere there, you can feel it in the air, people there love what they do and the people they get to help and sometimes save, hopefully, respectfully and thankfully. Thank you so much again for treating my pain, I am so grateful.

The NP, Stacey, did not actually listen to my concerns and came in with a pre-conceived notion of what was wrong. I presented for a unique situation that she likely had never seen and most likely will never see again. It involved aerosolized oil and other toxins being introduced into breathing air. She kept saying that the poison control center said there was nothing to worry about even when I was providing documentation of the real risks of the situation. I am now suffering through a chemical concussion because of her inaction and unwillingness to listen to the patient who happened to know more about this type of incident than she did.

I waited over 4 hours to be seen. People who arrived after me were seen before I was. I feel like I wasn't being listened to/there was a lack of communication between doctors and staff regarding my requests - due to the fact I had to keep continually bringing things up before they were actually addressed. Once it was all said and done, when I arrived home and "inspected" everything, I realized they didn't even fully resolve my issue! Within 24 hours of being discharged the hospital called to check in and I expressed my concerns. They said they would have someone (patient advocate maybe?) reach out to me, but that didn't happen. They suggested i call my insurance regarding coming back. So I called my insurance to see if I would be able to go back in to have them fix the issue, but my insurance told me I'd have to pay a 2nd deductible for that. I don't have the funds to be able to afford to do so, so I am INCREDIBLY frustrated that it wasn't done right the first time!! Staff was nice. That is the only reason it's getting a 2.

My dad went to a doctors appointment and his condition was bad enough his doctor called here of all places to let them know he was on his way due to don’t getting enough air to lungs and heart issues. He's currently still sitting in the waiting room as his chest pain begins to get worse. As I learned in school I thought we room based off of condition of patient still nothing. They were called ahead of time and was told to be prepared for him to be treated and possibly of being admitted. I wish he would’ve told them to call Methodist instead. The value of care at this er is complete garbage. And IU west don’t response asking to send an email with further comments, what you need to do is re train your employees or get some that actually care.
