  I had a recent appointment at this Pearle Vision location and have a mixed review. 👍 The Good: Staff & Service The employees were genuinely nice and helpful throughout my visit. I also appreciated that I was not left waiting a long time; the appointment was punctual and efficient. 👎 Needs Improvement: Archaic Digital Systems The major drawback was the archaic and frustrating check-in system. It does not accept screen shots of necessary documents like insurance cards, forcing me to print my insurance information just so I could take a picture of the physical printout to upload. This is an unnecessary hassle and a waste of paper. 🛑 Needs Improvement: Excessive Communication The Client Relationship Management (CRM) definitely needs improvement. In the 10 days leading up to my appointment, I received an astonishing six emails and one phone call from the office. This included: 3 appointment reminders from their "eye appts" system 3 check-in/form emails from their "demand force" system 1 appointment confirmation call from a person This level of repetitive communication is overwhelming and quickly becomes spam. While I appreciate being reminded, consolidating these communications into one or two clear emails/texts would significantly improve the patient experience. Overall: A great team provides fast, personalized service, but the backend technology and communication strategy create unnecessary friction.

  I had a great experience at this Pearle Vision location in Vernon Hills! Dr. Lisa is incredibly thorough and patient with all of the questions I had. Jennifer was incredibly helpful, kind, honest, and so much fun to work with while picking glasses. She helped me work on pricing with my insurance so everything was out in the open as to my out of pocket costs. The whole team even came over to give me honest feedback, pumped me up at my frame choice, and help me decide on the pair of glasses best for my face/desired look! They are awesome and I enjoyed my experience. Thank you Jennifer & Jennifer & Ari (sorry if I misspelled your name)! Can't wait to get my awesome frames in!!! :)

  I’ve been having a difficult time w/ my insurance and really needed to replace my glasses. A bit disappointed to shell out big money near the holidays — strictly a bone to pick w/ my insurance. At no fault to the staff who were actually pretty chill and as engaging as I needed. I went a bit early to scope out the selection and get checked in. Didn’t feel pushed towards one thing or the other — major plus! Standard vision tests and insight from an equally lovely and chill optometrist. Staff helped me choose some dope glasses and were very helpful during the “checkout” process. Honestly, as someone who is introverted and socially anxious, I am super relieved at how easy going and hands off this experience was. I’ll definitely consider this location in the future.

  Dr. Lisa Vivacqua , the female receptionist and the other female associate who did the eye screening - 3 of them are all 5 stars to me....they were professional, accommodating and responds to my questions politely and professionally. The male associate is the one that brought down the stars to ONE......he was suppose to guide me or at least help me go through the process of choosing the right frames for me......he was very dismissive and not accommodating at all. I chose a frame I liked and I tried it and I told him, it feels crooked, all he did was looked at me and told me" you'll just have to find another frame". He did not even took the frame just to check it, he just dismissed it and suggested to find another frame. Feels like I am wasting his time and he just wants to be done. Well I gave him what he wanted, I just paid for the eye consultation and left. I will just order the frames and sunglasses from another location or company.

  I bought glasses last yr and paid over $400, this yr i needed a new prescription so I used my same frame that I purchases from pearle vision last yr. To find out they do not guarantee if they get lost or broken it will be my cost. Which I find ridiculous since I bought them here just a yr ago. Be aware if you buy glasses from them and need a new prescription, they will not guarantee to keep them safe when sent out for new lenses. I would buy online. Lesson learned. The dr and tech were friendly, but just shitty they do not guarantee a product that your purchase from them, hundreds of dollars not guaranteed. They also do not allow you to buy more insurance. Be careful do not buy from them.
