- LBLeah Banfield6 days ago5.0Approximately one year ago we were approved to receive in-home care for my husband and we chose Home Instead. The Veteran’s Administration approved two days a week for six hours a day. Sami made an in-home visit to assess our situation, placing Tim with my husband. It was a perfect fit! Tim is very kind and helpful. He assists with personal hygiene and caregiving. He is quite pleasant and very dependable. It is a huge relief to be able to run errands, attend doctor’s appointments, etc. and leave my husband in Tim’s care. I never have to worry. Our entire overall experience with Home Instead has been very pleasant. We have and will continue to refer our friends needing your services.

After a January fall and 3 week hospital stay in Lincoln IL, I was connected with Springfield's locally owned and operated HomeInStead team to aid in transitioning my father back into his home. The friendly staff and easy terms made all the difference during this critical time for our family and my father's care. - MMMelissa MitalJul 12, 20231.0Samantha came to visit/interview to care for my father. She was quick to judge the cleanliness of his house, he was taken by ambulance to the hospital and had not returned home yet. I reside out of state, so my sister met with her and Samantha called me after. She hymn-hawed around to the point of me finally asking her to come out with it. Samantha proceeded to tell me the house smelled of animal urine and she was unable to find a clean place to sit down. My sister had left the hospital to meet with her and hadn't had a chance to straighten up yet. When we told her we had a professional floor to ceiling sterilization cleaning done 3 weeks ago and she didn't believe us and said we were lying. My father is 86 years old, sick and showing dementia symptoms, of course his home needs some attention. The man needs help, which we were trying to accomplish after being severely taxed by the urgent need for care in his home. It is my strong belief that this girl may need to find another vocation if she is not prepared to tackle these assignments.

Before beginning any shifts, each CarePro completes an 11-hour orientation covering our policies and client care expectations. Within the first 90 days of employment, they also receive specialized training in dementia and Alzheimer’s care. As a licensed agency with the Illinois Department of Public Health, all of our Care Professionals are bonded and insured through us.
