Michael has helped me and my family on at least three occasions in the past year. On each occasion, he has provided consummate customer service. He is attentive, patient, helpful, detail-oriented, and he has a wonderful sense of style. In our last visit, we had the good fortune of Michael introducing us to Omar, who also seems quite skilled in customer service (as do the other team members there who we have not yet had a chance to work with). Michael kept tabs on how our visit was going, even while dutifully attending to other customers who had arrived prior to us. In other words, even when he could not personally work with us, Michael ensured a productive and satisfying experience. Encourage you to visit LensCrafters for any eyewear needs and have the pleasure of working with these fantastic team members!

There is a huge communications and customer service issue at this location. I had a unique insurance benefit and communicated this at the beginning of my appointment. When an issue with the insurance arose, I was blamed for not communicating this when in reality the lack of communication between employees caused this issue. How this issue was handled was not appropriate, particularly when working with Sandra. She was extremely rude and was shutting down other employees trying to be helpful. If you've read this far, let this be your sign to go to any other optometrist.

Communication here is non-existent. Staff is very friendly but nobody seems to have any idea what’s going on and there is a severe lack of communication between employees themselves.
Over the years, LensCrafters has really fallen off in all departments. Glasses are overpriced, the selection is limited, slow service times and in general the vibe is that they don’t really care about you or your experience. They just want you to spend money. And once you’ve made your purchase, it’s done and you will never be able to make an exchange or refund for ANY reason.
The one saving grace here is the friendliness of staff but that also depends on the day you go.
Unfortunately this will be my last LensCrafters and after 15+ years we are finally breaking up.

The service at LensCrafters Old Orchard is outstanding! I’ve been coming here since 2015, and every visit has been excellent — the staff is always professional, patient, and focused on making sure you get the best fit and experience possible.
On my most recent visit, I worked with Sandra, who was absolutely wonderful — honest, kind, and very knowledgeable. I needed to replace the lenses in three pairs of glasses, and she was upfront about the costs and even suggested I check if my insurance would cover them elsewhere. That level of honesty and customer care is rare and says so much about their integrity.
Highly recommend LensCrafters Old Orchard for anyone looking for top-notch service and people who truly care about their customers!

I went to LensCrafters today, October 25th, 2025 at around 5:15 p.m. I had a loose screw in my new glasses. Your glasses were only a few months old. When I went in they were having a hard time getting the screw in the proper alignment. They thought maybe the screw was stripped. They even said that I could get a brand new frame if I had the insurance. They were not able to fix the glasses. Why would I need insurance for a brand new pair of glasses? I was very upset and very pissed off. I was able to go home and fix it myself. Glasses were not broken. They were not damaged. The staff just didn't know how to fix them.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
