The office has some really wonderful staff and the latest technology. I actually learned so much during my eye exam with Dr. Pak. He went through my prescription and explained every step, had a very warm bedside manner and was incredibly through in his examination of retinal images. I really appreciate that and felt very cared for.

I went for my eye exam and told the front desk that I wanted the regular eye exam that was covered by my insurance… Then when I was with the doctor, she kept trying to push me to get bifold. I told her that I did not want them and she kept telling me that eventually I would need them and I am ruining my eyes… Then she asked me if I wanted it by focal context again I told her I did not want them and she kept pushing them then she said to me well why don’t we just try the bifocal contacts and if you don’t like them you don’t have to get them. I finally said fine because she wasn’t letting up… Then when I went to leave, they charge me an extra $85 for a “special exam“ for the bifocal exam… Never once did she tell me it was an additional charge or I wouldn’t have gotten it. I told the front desk from the very beginning I wanted the exam that was covered by my insurance… Be careful here they will totally scam you. And that doesn’t even cover the rudeness I experienced by Lynn at the front desk. It was an absolute horrible experience. Been going there for years and I will never go back.

Frequently Asked Questions About Doctors of Optometry - Woodfield Mall
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. What is involved in an eye exam?
An eye exam involves a series of simple but comprehensive tests that allow your optometrist to assess your vision and your eye health. Your optometrist will discuss the results of your eye exam with you and determine the right prescription to help you to see your best.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
