They lost my appointments and told me to make a new appointment right there. They expected me to wait 2 hours despite being 15 minutes early for an appointment they scheduled.

Sad to say Ive had a horrible experience trying to utilize their services. I used this service through my employer to arrange a drug screen. Based on the automated recording on their phone, it states they prioritize appointments over walkins.
At the time the person who went to do the drug screen was turned away, the Quest employee stated they were not taking walk ins.
When I asked questions to learn more like- based on the voicemail it states you take walk in, just appointments are priority, why was he not being taken?
The Quest employee explained that they stop taking walkins at 3:40 and the amount of walkins they take has been met.
I asked more questions like - its 3:30 and again on the voicemail there is no deadline or limit mentioned of a walk in so we are under the impression he would be taken. We have order for him to do a drug screen with a deadline of today.
I then hear the employee tell the person who is to take the drug screen " Hang up the phone I have nothing else to say to her."
To which I stated " Im asking to try and figure it out. I dont appreciate being told to be hung up on. That isnt professional or kind. Is there someone else I can speak with if you dont want to help?"
The person who was to take the drug screen then told me the lady left the front lobby area, to the back. The lobby is set up where you have to knock for service. This happened on 10/16 at 3:30pm.
He waited while I tried to figure out a solution on my end. While he was waiting they took the other person waiting who had tried to go as a walk in and was also turned away. After they tested that person, they did drug screen the person I was working with.
I am happy to follow rules and procedures to help everyones day go smoothly, but when important rules like a walk in limit and deadline are not made clear to the customer, avoidable problems like this happen. These drug screens are time sensitive and can cause someone to lose their job if theyre not completed. I hope the automated system is updated to reflect the policies clearly and customers are notified, and I hope the people in the office take care to provide more professional, helpful help.
Very disappointed and our business will now be using other diagnostic services first.

The tech told me I owed $115 and my insurance covered the rest. She never said how much the tests cost without insurance. Three months later I get a bill for almost $5000. If they would have been up front with me I would never have gotten the blood tests. Very dishonest in my opinion. I would have walked out the door without the tests if I would have known I would owe so much money. $5000! Insane and it will be a huge burden on my family.

located in the Riverside Pavvillon shopping center on the corner of Riverside and Mulford next to Injury Express/Orthoillnois suite 109 lower level. There's no one at the checkin window it all done by Kiosk.
Check in at kiosk have your ID ready you'll place it into the tray on the kiosk for scanning. You can check in for an Appointment or a Walk In it will give next available time. You can also choose to wait in your car or the waiting room they will send you a text. If here for a Drug Screen there is no water in the waiting room you have to provide 70mm urine sample to fill 2 specimen containers they will provide water if you can't provide enough sample fluid. You have up to 3 hours to give a sample and you cannot leave otherwise it's considered a refusal of Drug Screen. So drink plenty of water or bring your own water to get in and out faster. Clean facility with courteous staff. Handicap accessible.

What do I need to know before I arrive at a Quest Patient Service Center?
Please be aware that when you visit a Quest Patient Service Center:
• Scheduled appointments are strongly encouraged and will receive priority. Please arrive and check in 10 minutes before your appointment time. If you check in more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, you will be served as a walk-in.

Do you accept walk-ins?
Scheduled appointments are strongly encouraged and will receive priority. If you walk in, you will have to wait for the next available opening.
Should I be fasting?
Fasting before a blood draw means you don’t eat or drink anything except water. If your test requires it, don't forget to fast for 8-12 hours before your appointment. If you’re not sure, contact your doctor's office. To learn more about how to prepare for your test, visit QuestDiagnostics.com/patients/get-tested/prepare/fasting for additional fasting information.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Please arrive and check in 10 minutes before your appointment time. If you check in more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, you will be served as a walk-in.
You should bring the following to your appointment:
•A lab order from your doctor. If your doctor did not give you a paper order, check with them to see if they sent it electronically.
•Photo identification listing your first name, last name, and date of birth (for example, a driver's license, government issued photo ID, Passport, or Green Card).
•Current health insurance information.
•Credit, debit, or health savings card. You will be asked to preauthorize payment for any balance due after your insurance is billed.
It’s important to also know if your test requires fasting the day before and/or morning of your appointment. Your healthcare provider should have indicated this on your lab order or during your visit. Learn more about fasting before a lab test.
Note: Childcare is not available and the waiting area is not attended. Some testing protocols, such as drug screenings or pre-employment screenings, have strict rules which do not allow children to accompany the patient during sample collection. If you have questions about your testing protocols, please contact your healthcare professional or employer for additional information.
How do I check in when I arrive?
Sign in using the Check-in kiosk, or if not available, sign the clipboard at the front desk. Please be prepared to present a valid photo ID and insurance information. Be sure to mark the reason for your visit when signing in.
If you were unable to preregister ahead of time, and would like to do so, you may be able to complete the registration process if you arrive a few minutes early at a Quest Patient Service Center that has a Check-in kiosk. When you check in with your mobile number, you may be asked if you want to complete the registration process on your smartphone while you wait.
My doctor told me they would send over an order. Do you have it?
If your doctor said they would send us the order electronically or via fax, there is no need to confirm that we have the order. If we do not have the order, we will call the doctor to obtain it when you arrive at our Quest Patient Service Center. To prevent delays, be sure to visit our location during your doctor’s office hours or obtain a copy of your order from your doctor.
How soon after my visit will my doctor receive my lab test results?
Turnaround times for test results can vary. If you have a MyQuest account, your test results will be delivered to your account as soon as they are available. This can take 2-5 business days from the time the sample is received, depending on your test.
You should always follow up with your doctor to discuss your results.
