If I could give 0 stars, I would. Most unprofessional doctor I have ever met with! She was over 40 minutes late to my father’s appointment, then wouldn’t give us 5 minutes of her time. First words out of her mouth, were to discredit the Dr. who helped finally diagnose my dad. She put my father on meds (that she didn’t explain) and tried to walk out of the room without even explaining his NEW diagnosis. She refused to give us the time of day, and collected her papers, to leave and stood with her hand on the doorknob while I tried to ask just a couple (2-3) questions she just wouldn’t give us the time of day. It’s very sad that this is how she would treat a confused man who still doesn’t understand his diagnosis, I know better than to google things but how else am I supposed to learn of this disease, and what to expect for my dad.

STAY AWAY PLEASE - ESPECIALLY THOSE WITH INVISIBLE CHRONIC PAIN!!! Bielkus is a horrible listener. She might as well not have ears. She didn't get my condition correct, forgot why I was even there, and didn't show me the EEG or MRI. Dr. Bielkus is a pill-pusher with the facade of helping. Her exam room is filled with marathon medals, newspaper articles about how smart she is, etc. Not exactly a comforting place for those in pain/who have conditions. I just went in today, payed the copay, and waited 15+ min just to be told that she couldn't do anything for me - while ignoring the problems I brought up to her. She ignored the fact I have pain all over my body - she didn't even bother to look at the pinched nerves on my spine. I barely got to talk about what's going on in my body because she told me what I had without asking nearly enough questions. She concluded that I had headaches/migraines, but she's not too sure about my diagnosis she can't even say correctly (she doesn't even know what my condition is). She wouldn't treat me past why my doctor referred me; I know it wasn't just headaches because I told my doctor what to put in the referral. She said, "I'd be happy to treat more than just headaches." Then she proceeded to derail the conversation and move back to how she actually doesn't want to help me.

I've seen Dr. Bielkus for over 17 years, and I have no complaints at all. She has always explained tests and results fully. The office staff are easy to work with, and i've never had an issue getting an appointment. Dr. Bielkus has onsite testing for EMGs and EEGs which is very helpful, as getting in and out of the hospital can be difficult with limited mobility. She has been willing to work around my limitations in the summer, by scheduling appointments during cooler months. I worked as a neuro RN for many years (acute neuro/neurosurgical, brain injury rehab/coma stim, and stroke rehab, and saw neuro diagnoses in patients at other places of employment as an RN x 20 yrs), and Dr. Bielkus is someone I respect.

Very matter of fact and seemed uninterested.
