NIOC has always been good to me and my family. I was in today for an overdue appointment, and there was no judgment. I had a spare pair of glasses that they were able to use for my new prescription, which helped keep my costs down. The doctor and all the staff are patient and take their time to be thorough and answer all your questions.

Visited N.I. Optical today, pleasantly greeted & served. Dr Chris Troyka was helpful & answered all my questions. I then saw Becky, who also was very helpful, with one particular issue. I do feel she went above & beyond. A most sincere, Thank you,😊 Good service is hard to find, I found it today at Northern Illinois Optical.

It's not a modern fancy office, but displays are laid out well. Very bright and welcoming office. Everyone is really helpful and friendly. Easy to get to and plenty of parking spots.

Our one and only "Google Review" comes from Paul Fieldsend. The "review" is full of half-truths and outright lies. The reviewer was denied service because he regularly sleeps in contact lenses that are not intended for continuous wear, Any patient who goes to the Acuvue website will see that Acuvue 2 are for daily wear only. He asked to be changed to another lens over the telephone without being seen in the lens. The patient was angry and belligerent throughout his examination and insisted that he knows more than the Doctor. This type of self-righteous patient is every doctor's worst nightmare. He is non-compliant, with poor hygiene and should be denied from wearing lenses by any responsible physician. P.S. Our handicapped parking is sometimes used by Earl V Fulling, the Senior Partner in this Corporation who is 94 years old, in a wheelchair and a WWII veteran...VERY deserving of a handicapped spot. It is not nor has it ever been my car in that space. DUH.
