Was told by the receptionist after explaining my situation '"we can't help you here, we don't take demands from patients" was very sick at the time in the er but was told "don't call us again I'm canceling your appointment don't call this office" then was hung up on. I couldn't work with an office that doesn't empathize or have respect/kindness for others.
I am a patient of the Blessing Bariatric Center and have been for over a year. I have had such a positive experience that my husband joined along on the journey for better health. In the past six-months my husband and I have lost 158 pounds combined. The weight loss journey is a commitment so making the appointments is crucial. From reading the reviews I don’t agree at all with the 1-star reviews and neither does my husband. We live an hour away and I work 65 hours a week but my health is top priority. They offer a variety of in person and remote appointments. If you are unable to commit to a monthly appointment for 6 months prior to surgery and three month appointments after surgery then it seems that you might not be ready to commit to such a serious lifestyle change. As far as communication breakdown I also disagree. Our surgeon gives us his cell phone number. Through this entire process we are educated on what to expect and if something at the hospital in aftercare seems “off” one call to the surgeon and it is taken care of. The staff has become our family and my husband and I have our lives and health back thanks to the Bariatric Center ❤️

I have had the best experience with this place from the receptionist all the way to the dr. They have been extremely helpful when I call, they scheduled my appts around my work and they checked up on me after my surgery. I would recommend them to my friends and family.

Forget this place if you have a job and dont live locally. The make it nearly impossible to participate in their program if you have the responsibility of an employed adult, or dont live locally. Go someplace where they treat you like they want your business.

I was having issues uploading my patient history forms online. The receptionist I can't recall her name but she has a pleasant voice helped me by mailing the forms out to me. Then I filled those out and mailed them and somehow it got lost in the mail. So I decided just to come and fill them out in person. The receptionist catered to my needs as a new patient and she was sweet patient professional and understanding. Their office is warm and inviting they had access to water and coffee. Their chairs and medical equipment were obese friendly. I was so happy getting a accurate weight finally. The medical staff took time to explain the program details and requirements to me and made sure I understood every detail. I look forward to my next appt and working the program.
