  I hate having to leave a review like this because it truly isn’t my character, but my experience at the YogaSix Oak Park location on my birthday, November 18th, was deeply disappointing and hurtful. I attended the morning restorative class, and at first I was excited and happy to move my body. It was my birthday, and I was looking forward to starting my day in a peaceful and positive space. Unfortunately, about 10 minutes into the class, the instructor spoke to me in a way that felt extremely rude and dismissive. I immediately felt unwelcome and out of place, which led me to leave the class early. Later, I returned hoping to simply speak with the instructor and address what happened, but instead the situation escalated. I was asked to leave and threatened with having the police called on me, which was shocking and humiliating. What should have been a calm and healing environment turned into a very painful experience. As a woman of color, the way the situation unfolded made me feel racially profiled and unfairly treated, and that feeling stayed with me long after that day. I have shared more about the experience on my TikTok because I believe conversations like this matter. No one should walk into a wellness space hoping to feel peace and leave feeling disrespected, embarrassed, or unsafe. I truly hope YogaSix takes this seriously so that no one else has to go through something like this. Yoga studios are meant to be spaces of inclusion, healing, and community. I also hoped to hear back from the studio regarding this incident, but unfortunately I have not received any response.

  Excelente clases, excelente Team. Aunque no hablo mucho inglés. Son instrucciones claras y sencillas. Y fueron muy amables con mi poco inglés 👏🏻👏🏻

  The yoga studio was awesome, and Rob and Tasha are the best instructors. Would recommend highly!!

  YogaSix in Oak Park is a great studio. Very clean with lockers and storage cubbies up front. Their shared equipment is new and clean. I did the couples experience with Rob and Tasha and it was fantastic. They made it very enjoyable and welcoming for beginners like me. Overall I would definitely come back to take some more classes here.

  They have a variety of classes with ranging intensity levels that I appreciated. I never felt judged if I couldn't follow every position. Overall its been a great experience.
