This was a calamity to say the least. I had purchased an expensive pair of progressive, transition, and blue light lenses with an expensive frame. The frame was a poor choice for my face and I wasn't instructed while purchasing initially that others might be better fitting, so I had to change that out. I was given an eye exam and was over prescribed initially. In addition to that, I was also given measurements that were inaccurate. I took my glasses to be fitted to another location to test and insure it wasn't the fit, but it was the fit as well as other issues just mentioned.
I then returned to this store to change out the frame as it wasn't sitting on my face accurately and redo the measurements as they were taken inaccurately. When I mentioned I think it might be a good idea to retake my prescription since I was there it was brushed off and I was told it "wasn't the prescription".
I get the new glasses, this is now my 4th time in to handle a pair of glasses....and guess what? It WAS (in addition to the frame & wrong measurements) the prescription. Shocking. So I go back yet again to take another shot at this, and take another eye exam. This time we take those results and put them into better fitting glasses and they seem to have done the trick for the most part.
The frames could still sit better on my face so I bought clear pads to sit in the nose area and was told that I can come back in for a 7th time for yet another fitting adjustment. Good thing I have only been wearing glasses for a year b/c to go in 7 times for another pair would be rather difficult as this place is 20 mins from my house.
I was offered $100 off my glasses for 280 mins of my time in just transit back and forth forgetting the time spent at this place while I was trying to diagnose the issue. I feel as if the experience could have been handled differently. These glasses are expensive and if you are selling top quality product the service should really reflect that as well. I had to repeatedly call the manager and ask if he had spoken to the district manager about this issue. Again, not my responsibility to follow up on a pretty poor customer experience.
Lastly, there was a moment when one of the staff had inadvertently thought they had ended a phone call with me. They had not. Needless to say they mentioned things about me that were not necessarily rude but might not have been mentioned to my face had I been in front of them, lastly they commented on why none of the appropriate info had been entered into the customer (me) profile properly. Do what you will with this info.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters Optique
How do I know if my child needs glasses?
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
