I waited several months after leaving this practice to think about my experience and write a review. I would highly not recommend this practice or doctor. First and foremost, the cost. I was self pay and she charged me double what I am paying at a much bigger practice. I am also self pay there. She also always presumed I didn’t have the out of pocket cost to pay for injections. Maybe at her inflated costs, no I wouldn’t have. But I did at my new place, Gateway Spine. It was still expensive and she shouldn’t make assumptions. Nor should she be over charging for sub par care. I keep getting bills that randomly get bigger and bigger for the same dates or service. I will not be paying. Being I was self pay, there should never be a bill. Then there was the care. It was horrible. She has zero bed side manner and she actually speaks down to you. It all felt very narcissistic which is the last quality you want in a doctor! She has no trust between her patients. Requires you to bring in old prescriptions counts every pill. She might say this is required or standard but I highly doubt Gateway Spine and all my other pain doctors aren’t following the law and standards when it comes to prescribing pain medications. I’m not required to do that anywhere else it’s her own thing. My first appointment was THREE long agonizing hours and she is ALWAYS running behind and all follow ups were super long. I get it there was a lot to review and, I’ve never had that lengthy of an appointment with any other pain doctor, so it is indeed possible to use appointment time for efficiently. She would literally scold me like a child. She has one great staff member Iliana and she treated her how she treated her patients, horrible. I’m hoping by the time I am writing this she has moved on to something else, I know she was working towards other things. I’d also like to thank her for her support, kindness, and she was able to give me direction that the doctor could not. Communication was difficult and she was extremely invalidating. She wasn’t willing to adequately help with my pain. I was in a rough spot after a cross country move. I’m feeling so much better now. And I came to find at my new practice that along with my back pain I had a very sick gallbladder that needed removal. The organ was actually dead. So yes, I was experiencing immense amounts of back pain. She chose to not believe me. It’s hard enough being a pain patient. The stigma is real. So if you are a pain patient looking for a new doctor? I highly recommend you going elsewhere. Her own staff told me she was “crazy” and not providing appropriate care and for my own safety? To go elsewhere. That says A LOT.

I have been going to Dr. Hashim for treatment of chronic pain on and off for years. She is excellent at finding solutions to pain managment problems. I myself do not have insurance and surgery was not an option. Dr. Hashim was willing to work with me notwithstanding to find a way to manage my pain so that I could focus on living life. I wouldn't recommend anyone else!

Dr. Hashim is very thorough and thoughtful. I receive great care. More importantly, I feel safe and secure in the knowledge that my treatment plan has been carefully developed
