Club Pilates Mount Prospect is a boutique Pilates studio specializing in reformer fusion classes for anyone, at any age or fitness level. Pure to Joseph Pilates’ original Reformer-based Contrology Method, but modernized with group practice and expanded state-of-the-art equipment, Club Pilates offers high-quality, life-changing training at a surprisingly affordable price.
Incredibly frustrating experience with Club Pilates. I believe this is more of a reflection of the business model than the specific location, but only practiced at this one. Joining here only works if you have a totally flexible schedule and are able to go during the daytime hours, which are still often full, or at the spur of the moment. Every morning class was completely booked over a month out, so the only hope you have of getting in is if you are an unlimited member and can MAYBE get ahead of the other unlimited members to schedule over a month out. When signing on and expressing a concern that the waitlists were so large and the goal I had of attending the 6am class regularly, the manager offered to help me to get in ahead of time, but I feel like that was part of the overcrowding. If you're an 8 or 4 pack - don't bother trying. You are placed on a waitlist, frequently #8-10+ and hope that you maybe get to get in ahead of time. Sometimes this works, sometimes it does not but it doesn't allow for flexibility or planning/preparation. As a working parent of toddlers, I need to have a plan for child care ahead of time as my partner also works and we can't put our lives on hold for "maybe" getting in a workout class. One of these times, I was alerted at 1 am that I got into a 6am workout class and so was charged the cancellation fee because when I found out when I got up it too late to go to class. I was refunded the cost, however that is their policy to take yourself off the waitlist the night before to avoid the fee. As a regular group exercise member, I have not had this problem at other companies. You also have to keep an eye on your credit card as I had more than one situation of being charged for reasons I was unaware of, or a glitch in the system.
For such an incredibly expensive program, it feels much more like a money grab than an exercise/fitness program. The workouts themselves were fine, I couldn't make much progress as I couldn't get into classes on a regular basis. I didn't always feel supported when in a 1.5 class when they did a new move, and felt attitude that I should have learned it in a level 1 class before joining....I didn't really get the chance. I was really excited at the start, but this is not worth your money.

The class was OK and the front desk team was lovely.
However, I was surprised by the behavior of one of the instructor. She was standing in front of the check-in counter, chatting with someone else—not the front desk—and completely blocking the space. She saw new clients entering, including me, but didn’t make any effort to step aside or show basic courtesy. that’s kind of rude guys
It didn’t feel very welcoming, especially coming from someone representing the studio.
Do I want to return and risk running into that again? I’m honestly not sure.

I have become addicted to Club Pilates since joining in March (2025). The classes are amazing and the instructors are friendly, well versed in the art of pilates, and they keep classes fresh, fun and challenging (in a good way). Meghan, Gail, Maureen and Captain Ed are my personal faves, but all instructors are great. If you're on the fence because you haven't done it before, try an intro class. I had never done pilates prior to March and now go 5-6 times a week - it's become my preferred workout. Try it, I think you'll love it!
